If you’ve checked your cabin air filter already, what about upstream of that, the gutter that feeds the air to the filter, underneath the windshield cowl, maybe that has some debris or dead crap in it that’s causing the smell?

Mildew inside ducts. Do you ever turn recirculate off to get fresh air through the ducts?

If you are in a high humidity area, you may have a clog in the drain for the condenser. I think it's pretty common for algae to grow and clog it.

My tundra has that smell when using AC, which the defrost setting uses. Try and switch the AC off about a minute or 2 before you turn off the truck to clear the ducts out. At least this is what I’ve been told

I have a 90 lb Chocolate Lab so my truck smells like cheesy ass no matter what I try. Sorry, not helpful. Just venting my frustration.

I've used this technique in the past, works great. Only thing I would do different is to definitely leave all the windows open before you spray. Hope this helps.

    Maybe it’s laundry day!

Anytime I notice a Bad Smell there’s only 2 possibilities.

    1. It’s coming from my Pup or…….

    2. The most probable cause: My Spouse. :)

Sometimes people spill stuff that the carpet soaks up. And it looks clean, but it's moldy under.

Or coffee with cream spills, then the milk on it goes rancid under the carpet.

Could it be under the carpet somewhere.

    Feel around for damp spots
