Last week I got the Magnuson TVS1900 supercharger installed and the kit comes with a completely new air box, tube, filter etc. The Stillen is not compatible anymore with my new setup.

I have a Stillen, and planning on getting the Harrop. I wonder if it will be compatible? I will need to do more research.

It’s hard to say for sure. I was debating on the Harrop as well. The Magnuson comes as a complete kit with everything you need, including new spark plugs, injectors, larger fuel pump, air box, filter, intake tube, tuning etc. From what I gather, the Harrop is just the actual blower… and it costs more.

I see that you’re in Houston, you should definitely contact Prospeed Autosports and ask for Joe. He helped me out and I didn’t even buy anything from them. They’re the go-to guys for Tundra superchargers. The main reason I didn’t choose Harrop was because they don’t provide a tune for the Stage 1, but I believe Prospeed can get you dialed in with a custom dyno tune.

Yes I got help from member nobodyintexas :
pietz performance installed it - HP tuners - he's a good tuner

Prospeed is awesome too. they are good tuners too

I had mine tuned by D3 Performance in League City. no tuning was avail when I did stage 1. I live South of beltway 8. So they were closer. they did a great job. D3 only does Toyota.

All down the street from me, its just a matter of paying off my truck and ordering the Harrop. Might as well stage 2 it and tune it, while I'm at it.

    Pay once, cry once.

Did you notice any real difference with this intake, or just more sound?
Why did you run it with a K&N filter instead of the Stillen provided filter?

I noticed the throttle response improved after installing the intake, and it definitely sounded good. As far as I know Stillen doesn’t manufacture air filters, the K&N filter is what was provided with the kit.

Interesting... I see they offer a dry and oiled filter version, looks like they just use the K&N for the oiled version.
I'm interested in this but I need to sell my Softopper first. If that happens soon I'll hit you up and maybe we can meet up somewhere.

I had one before I got the Stillen, sounded really good (really really good). Too bad it was more of a Hot Air intake than a Cool one. Sold it and kept the RC Pre-filter bag to protect against possible water and dirt from the Stillen.

The heat shield and pipe are metal and just absorbed and sucked in the hot air from the engine bay. My butt dyno didn't see a difference in HP but it really made the V8 roar.
