Oh man, I think I’m going to have to update my order. I thought it was Barcelona red but that looks like TRD red… I know no one will see it, yet I still want it!

Would it be possible to weld nuts to the frame to help with removing and installing the plates later?

I was wondering if anyone is protecting their other cars that are not Tundras? I just purchased a 2019 Lexus RX and was wondering if I should buy the cable style CAT shield for it.

Yea I originally ordered bare aluminum but someone backed out of the Red Plates and although $150 more they are really something and really stand out (even though you can only see them when the truck is rolled over) they are def TRD Red as some other pics of the aluminum ones looked more like black cherry red to me…

From what I hear, besides Tundras, Prius' are the next hard-hit vehicles for their cats. I haven't heard much about other model vehicles or protection from them.

Hello, I had previous order R607710274. Powder coated black, aluminum skid plates front and rear.

It came with 2 total spacer plates. I think I needed a total of 4 plates, 2 on each side as the plate seems to press a bit tight on the front differential. How do I go about getting these?

I was also wondering about these cable shields for my wife’s car. Does anyone have any feedback on these cable shields or are they a waste of money?

You likely got 2 1/4” spacers instead of 4 1/8”

I installed my aluminum front and rear plates about a month ago - the order (R073520904) didn't come with any spacers. I thought I read somewhere they were no longer necessary. Is this not correct? Thanks.

They do not needed it, he was referring to the old design that did

On my mom's older rx the cats are located on the exhaust manifold, so it's pretty hard to access. Tweakers stole the resonator though lol.

So I had the shields put on.

    1. I’d put in the instructions in the beginning to remove the small skid plate off the transfer case for more room. Plus the rear shield is basically a skid plate anyways.
    2. When tightening down the whole thing, the last bolts from Z-bracket to the back shield kinda bent/bowed the z bracket and rear shield a tad. It does this because the rear z brackets or rear shield isn’t long enough to meet each other.. I’d say if was 1 inch wider there wouldn’t have been all that gap pulling the rear shield out and Z bracket in. Ill throw picture up later.

We are still working on finding that perfect measurement, but we are so much closer than before. As far as the measurement, I would say 1/4” at the most

FedEx is driving me crazy. My plates have been in Portland for almost a week now and still haven’t been delivered. Same with another FedEx package I’ve been waiting on. Out of the big 3 they always seem to be the slowest and have these hang ups.

Tyler have you fab’d the nut plate for order R025010968? At this rate it might get here before the plates do.

No, I would be making something very close to what my competitors make with my name on it.

    @Classy63 , I am extremely frustrated here…

-Ordered black powdercoated front and rear protection plates back in May 2021
    - Finally received plates end of August 2021 but found out that the Z-brackets were too short
    - Requested that I am sent the correct size beginning of September 2021
    - Told multiple times since that it would be a couple weeks which kept getting pushed off for whatever reason/excuse
    - Finally received a box from you with what should have been the correct sized black powdercoated aluminum brackets this past Thursday December 2021 only to find that you sent me steel brackets (with are both heavier and cheaper) after I specifically told you that steel would not suffice b/c that is not what I paid extra money for.

So to summarize, I am still unable after 7 months to safely take my truck anywhere due to cats being stolen since I am still waiting to install plates that I paid extra money for powdercoated 3/16 aluminum and patiently waited for this entire time.

My plates sat with Portland FedEx for almost two weeks. Call them and insist on an investigation/trace. Once I did that they showed up two days later.
