    Hey Guys,

Just got a used 2018 Tundra TRD 4x4. It looks like it has the Rancho Quick Lift shocks installed on the front but the 35.x12.5x18 tires rub when I turn to the right in reverse.

Question, do you know if I can put a 2 inch spacer lift on the Rancho Quick Lift shocks?

I live in Big Bear CA and we get tons of snow in the winter. I am worried about snow build-up on the tires during the winter tearing apart the plastic guards and bumper.

    Need more lift Scoootttty!

Thanks in Advance. So far, I really love the Tundra. Havnt figured out if it has the 38 gallon tank yet. I was only able to fill up 23 gallons when I had a quarter of a tank left.

Straight Pipe, A/T on stock 20s, towing mirrors, kickers pro comp subs and amp
you can use a 2” spacer since it will sit above the strut assembly.

I had 2.5" inch spacers on my 2007 Dodge Ram Hemi 4x4 and I ran that thing out to Death Valleys Race Track. For those of you who don't know, to get the Race Track ( basically a dry lake bed with rocks with trail lines behind them), you have to drive across a 30-mile washboard road. My Ram ate that road up and I was able to do 50mph. Hope to get the same performance out of my Tundra. I don't want to spend a ton of money on the lift because I need new tires.

is it rubbing front or rear? i am putting coachbuilder bumper shims on mine to push the bumper forward some. i think I want the minimum lift to clear my 295 70 18s but we will see how that turns out when my shocks arrive

No. This is bad advice. You can’t just slap a 2” spacer on top of a shock that has already provided lift.

from most of what I have read the rubbing doesnt get helped much by extra lift above What you have ? spacers or wheel offset in the +18 to 26 range, plastic heating pushing, bumper spacer, alignment caster or maybe body mount chop

I found this thread while searching "rancho"... just wanted to say that this is the right answer.

Also, does anyone know if the Rancho is longer than a stock strut? If not, you should be able to add a 1/2" spacer to the top if you want more lift, but I wouldn't do more than that if you'll be offroading.

It's bad to add spacers to a lift kit.

Spacers are bad in general for good suspension performance.

Spacers on your lift kit will probably cause alignment problems.

Do you have adjustable or aftermarket UCA's?
If not, you will need them for sure with spacers on top of a lift kit.

Any lift 3in or higher you really should have new UCA designed for the lift, or adjustable ones like my SPC UCA's.

If you had a Qtr tank, and put in 23 gallons, you have the bigger fuel tank, lucky you!

When I am at E on the gauge, it's about 20 gallons to fill up.
I have the 26-gallon tank, with 6-gallon reserve.
    It sucks lol.

Not with the Ranchos... they are shorter than most aftermarket struts; probably stock length.

Should be able to put a 1/2-3/4" spacer on top (1-1.5" lift), no worries. I'd add bigger bumpstops as well though.

You may be right, I am not familiar enough with that part to know, but that sounds good.

    Righton.

I put some ranchos on my 3rd gen 4Runner years ago.

They were low end from Advance Auto I think.
    They were ok, nothing special.

    I have enjoyed my Bilstein's.
