How long after build date until delivery?

I don't remember if I saw it before... But does anyone know about how long after build date should you see delivery of vehicle? My build date was 12/1, I'm really excited to get this but my sales person doesn't seem too knowledgeable on the process. I've read that the trucks are built in a day, I know they have to go through testing and checks, but is it feasible to think I may be driving this around Christmas?

 

I’d say realistically depending on how far you are from Texas that a month if realistic.

 

I'm in CT, told the dealer I'd fly to Texas to pick it up if it would be quicker lmao

 

Obviously distance from Texas is a factor and depends if you have port installed options as well. For reference, I’m in north Louisiana and my 21 build date was 4/21/21 and I got it on 4/29/21, with port installed options too.

 

My build date is 12/9. Was told i should see it north of Boston end of December/ beginning of January.

SR5 in Subsonic Red. Didn't really have a choice but i like it.

 

Nice, that's a cool look...I didn't like how they rolled it out either. I wanted the SR5 in lunar rock with TRD Sport. The 1st choice I had was base SR model, no specified color, I passed on that and 2 wks was offered a Limited with TRD off road in Smoked Mesquite. The color will grow on me lol

Same here... One dealership said 10k over, I laughed at them and said I'll go elsewhere

 

I think that color looks good, the question for me more is how would I feel about it in a few years.

 

I placed an order and they printed the Toyota spec sheet with all the info and cost. I noticed there is a VIN# in small print. Is this the temp VIN or real VIN? Dealer is not saying much at all. Basically don’t know anything other than saying 3 to 4 months.

 

The VIN, if it has letters in the last 6 is a temporary one and the real one will show up after it is built. Normal timing from order to delivery is usually 4 months, but nothing is normal right now.

 

I have 5 numbers and one letter in my last 6 digits, build date 12/26 is this the actual vin??

 

Mine is the SR5 in LR with the TRD Sport with the 5.5 bed......I'm not sure I'll like the LR color but The rest would have been my build anyways

 

That is the temp VIN until the truck is built. As for the build date…. That makes no sense as they don’t build between 12/24 and 1/2/22, or build on sundays typically (which 12/26 is). So guessing yours will get built either just before or after the break.

 

LR looks really good in person on these trucks. Especially with the TRD Sport package (grill surround and fender trim are body color and black wheels).

I am here at the northeast. Salesman said I should be get my TRD pro by end on the motor early October. I am so happy about that….

 

Build date 9/8/22, delivery mid October to the Northeast.
