That's really not that great of a rate. My local credit unions are doing 1.3-2% for up to 84 months.

I did learn that you can look at the TRD Pro standard features on the spec page, whereas you can't build a Pro yet. It looks like the Pro is the only trim that combines all the offroading features with all of the Tech and comfort features.

Its really annoying we can't combine the offroad packages with the Pano and PVM packages in the limited. So we are forced to choose between having crawl control, MTM, rear locker, or having luxury features like pano roof and PVM. You still get 4x4 at least.

I just don't get why they allow you to fully load a Tacoma but not the Tundra.

I know, it was just interesting to see the new Tundra on the commercial and that they were advertising as if they had a bunch of them laying around! I too use my credit union.

apply $41.67 per month to the average buyers payment and see if you can upgrade trim levels or options for that. I make decent money but I'd still take an extra $41.67 per month. And gas is more expensive up here in Canada.

After looking at the new trucks and then going and looking at my 2016, I feel like the new ones are a lot "slimmer" looking. I go and look at my truck and it looks more bubbly. I think that is partly what gives it the smaller look.

ok i am going to try and test drive these this weekend. I would really like to see SR5 , Limited, and a Platinum just to compare a bit. However, I called 2 dealerships and each really only have 2 both SR5 (which is probably what im going to purchase) but would really like to compare the different trims…

Yea, the Tundra is a Hybrid, so no external charger. I don’t know of any full EV (no engine) Toyota truck future plans. Just hybrids from what I have read.

My understanding is a dealer can contact the Toyota allocation wallah and request XXXXXX trims, colors and options for their future allocations. Maybe the allocation gnome will do it, maybe they won't.

It’s pretty bad, I was told by my local dealer to give them three builds and a 1k refundable deposit (if they can’t get get truck allocated in next 90 days). I told them options 1-3 are a Lunar Rock SR5, 4x4, 5.5 bed, with TRD Premium. He laughed, I didn’t. Finally, he realized that was the only build I want and he said good luck. He offered to take the “order” at MSRP with about 1k in dealer add-ons but realistically though he’s be returning my money in 90 days.

Is it not possible to get a limited DC 6.5 bed with TRD off road, limited power package, limited pvm package and limited power package?

Yeah, shouldn't have tried it without a lift and proper tires, but good to see what the truck can't do stock even with Crawl Control and rear locker. No front tow hooks, rear recovery they tried to winch from the tow safetyhook. I guess they got it out via the tow safety hook. Eh, SR5 Offroad Crewmax appears to be a pretty good platform overall and with lift and tires it can "Go Places."

I placed an order and they printed the Toyota spec sheet with all the info and cost. I noticed there is a VIN# in small print. Is this the temp VIN or real VIN? Dealer is not saying much at all.Basically don’t know anything other than saying 3 to 4 months.

Baseline is what a vehicle can or cannot do stock. That was a good video. Dude said he wanted to try some things. You should thank him for showing you what can't be done until you mod a stock TRD Offroad.

Simple momentum would've gotten him through that little mud hole, no need for lift or mud tires. He basically idled into that hole. From my understanding crawl control would actually hurt you in that situation, you need some speed and some tire spin to get through that. Crawl control is basically a low speed cruise control this is not going to help you in mud. Front tow hooks should be a given.

You can get just as stuck with mud tires and a lift if you try as hard as this guy did.

The only thing that guy showed was that he has no idea how a 4 wheel drive system works, and especially no idea how the 4wd systems work in the Tundra. I guess unless you have used some of Toyotas Crawl/MTS features in other models, there will probably be a lot of confused new owners pushing buttons hoping for the best.

You won't know what can and can't be done in a stock truck until someone that knows what they are doing gets in it and pushes it to the breaking point.

Budgets are all individual. I get that. Personally, I'd rather spend that extra $50 a month to have a V8 than a higher trim. It's nostalgic for me, and I'm willing to pay for it.
