Greetings fellow Tundra brothers and sisters. This is my first post. I have a 2020 Limited Crewmax with stock suspension. I did install the TRD Pro sway bars. I now notice that it rides really rough around town. I don’t go off roading. Maybe a light trail to go camping, but that’s it. Anyone have any suggestions on what upgrades would give me a smoother overall ride without breaking the bank to do it? Thanks in advance!

What color are your stock shocks? black, Blue/yellow or Red/yellow? What size and load rating tire on the truck? How many miles on truck?

The springs and shocks are black. I have the 18” OEM TRD Off Road wheels with OEM Michelin LTX AT/4 tires. Truck originally came with 20” wheels. There are 23k miles on it.

I didn’t notice much, if any, ride sacrifice when I installed the TRD sway bar. With that said, I’m looking to replace my shocks to improve the ride and adjust the stance of the truck.

My guess is that’ll be your best bet. I have the TRD off-road shocks, but most members claim a big improvement in ride quality when switching from the stock black shocks to any thing (Bilstein 6112’s, eibach, etc.).

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a front sway bar. I already have a rear sway bar and really like how it handles now. Can you give me your opinion... how much better does it corner with the front sway bar? Is it worth it?
I have a '21 1794 and this is my third Tundra. This is the second truck I've had a rear sway bar on and really think it's worth the money.
    Thanks!

I’ve only installed the TRD sway bar in the rear, so I can comment specifically on upgrading the front. I’ve heard it makes a difference, but not as big of an improvement as the rear.

    Alot of them
The front sway bar will tighten up the front end making it feel more controlled. It rides great. I have had mine for a couple of years now. It weighs 29 lbs, so it is a little awkward when installing it. I used jack stands to support it.

I went with Eibach stage 1 with the front shocks set one notch up to compensate for the winch bumper. Much improved ride, firm but not harsh and very smooth on the road. I like it much better than stock and wish I had done it sooner. Hibachi sells direct for $655 unless you can find a sale then its under $600. Well worth the money.

What is the total weight of your bumper/winch combo? I just got this kit and am not sure which perch to set the clip on. I’ve got a steel bumper to install,.. but don’t have the winch as of yet. Please advise?

I’d check your tire pressure as a first step. Lowering your tire pressure makes a big difference.

Smoothest shocks available for all around driving are the Fox shocks off the Pros.
