Are there plans for a Black Rifle to open in the PNW? I know they are planning on opening 20 something locations around the country, since they went public last month, but not sure where the locations are going to be.

And don’t forget we a talked about doing a meet-up there. Bringing trailers/camping gear and going off into the hills. Powered by Tundra and Caffeine stuff.

I haven’t seen any signal or light in years, lol! To be honest I’m not really sure it’s working at all!

Still have yet to see a CEL on our Toyotas. This was exclamation point light I think, I was aired down to 20 psi.

Lewiston is the closest to WA I’ve heard of. Don’t think the “climate” in most of WA fits, except maybe up by JBLM or or near the Yakima proving grounds

Pretty sure my 15 would come on if I aired down for the dunes. I only did that a couple times.

    I will check them out.

I started thinking maybe his and hers…4Runners. Or another Tacoma. I don’t know.

But 4R and Tacos aren’t gonna save you much on gas and cost damn near what a Tundra will (or more depending on trim and options). At that point, I’d start looking at a nicely equipped 2022 SR5 Tundra

I love me a 4Runner. I priced out equally(or as close as possible) 4R TRD OR premium with sunroof to a Tacoma TRD OR with MTM and sunroof. Both around $44k. I will probably mod so no need for a TRD Pro or limited etc. Not that bad. $15k down payment and 2.0% or less finance would be less then my buyout.

With that said….after my Birkenstock spam emails, wool socks, and IPA of the month membership….that Wilderness edition outback looks pretty good! Can’t believe I am saying that. Will be adding that to the watch list. And about 10mpg better. That’s a plus.

If I was going to go Tundra again it would be a Pro. I have a platinum now. The pricing is a bit crazy. I get it with the changes and all. Just for me it wouldn’t be worth it. Realistically, if I was going to go full size Toyota it would most likely be a sequoia. This would probably only happen if I moved garages for work(cut my commute in half)…or I found a hella cheap mid 90’s civic to commute in.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s going to say which tire is low, but not the actual pressure

That makes a lot of sense! I don't think PDX has enough of their market to warrant a shop, unfortunately.

Please allow me to preface my question with a statement - I'm not asking this to question whether our trucks are 1/4 ton, 1/2 ton, etc. I'm asking because I'm too lazy to look it up in the owners manual

What is the maximum payload we're "supposed" to put in the bed of our trucks? If it matters, mine is a 2010 TRD limited with tow package.

I'm asking because I'm fairly certain I just grossly exceeded whatever that limit is!

Check the sticker in the door. Each truck is different. They advertise for a certain amount, but in reality each is different based off of dealer add ons and mods added.

Also worth visiting a CAT scale if you have a chance. That way you understand what has changed about the weight since the sticker was put on the door.

Awesome; thank you! I'll take a look. Mine says 1295 lbs and reduced by 18 lbs.

I just picked up a pallet of stove pellets, and didn't even consider the weight until they put the pallet in the bed of the truck, and my 4" lift was reduced to about a 2" clearance on the back tires. When I got home and started unloading them, I noticed the bags are 40 lbs each. Which means that's a grand total of 2000 lbs of pellets.

Considering I just overloaded it by over 700 lbs, could I have caused any damage to anything? Is there anything I should check or watch out for?

I'm accustomed to off roading, but rarely have heavy payloads. I normally just transport normal everyday stuff. So not sure if damage can be done by overloading.

Thanks for any and all input!

There is certainly a safety factor in all of the numbers. So likely no long term damage unless you hear something actually snap. However, weight also impacts things like brakes and transmission. Did your brakes wear more on that trip than a trip with something within payload? Probably, but not enough to notice from one trip. Do it everyday for three months you probably will need new pads.

I am due for a weigh to see where I sit. Recently added full skids and sliders. Probably 200 lbs heavier.

That and the fat ass in the driver seat who ate too much at Thanksgiving and has not worked out in over three weeks!

I doubt there will be damage. If constantly doing it it could. But others with more experience may say otherwise. I don't tow haul much either other than camping gear and hunting equipment/game.

That's great news! I took it "slow", and it's only about a 35 minute trek from the farm store to my house, and top speed is 40 mph. I did have enough sense to put it in tow mode, so hopefully that helped the tranny.
