Hahaha, you may find this hard to believe, but those Beyond Burgers are actually pretty tasty. I've only had two, ever, because for the most part I don't eat processed food. But, they tasted pretty damn close to the real thing. I was never a big red meat eater, though. Always preferred chicken and fish.
These past few years I've only eaten fish (sushi) a handful of times. Zero chicken.

And they just turned this back on for some reason. I have filled up over $80 before but in the last several months it's stopped at $80. Someone muckin' with my limits without me knowing it.
I'm just getting in the habit of filling up at 3/4 tank now. WFH is saving a lot of gas also.

My wife tries to tell me the vegetarian (vegan?) bacon she buys that looks and smells like a piece of hemp tastes just like the real thing (which she hasn't had in 15 years). I don't believe that claim either.

So is most chicken sold in the US, as is most processed foods, deli meat, snacks, fast food, and most foods prepared at restaurants.

Are you talking raw chicken from the grocery store meat department?

Based off a low sodium intake Chicken isn't going to bother you nearly as much as veggie burgers that are packing more than 3 times the sodium. Chicken is also available without all the preservatives and such if you go for fresh chicken, so it's definitely going to be a healthier choice than plants imitating meat. As I said before, I have no problem with eating a vegetarian diet, but if you have to make the veggies unhealthy in a quest to imitate meat... I just don't see why anyone would bother.

Unless you are taking in a LOT of sodium, the problem is more likely to be that you are getting too little potassium. Sodium and potassium are both critical for the cells to function properly.

Is an argument between two vegans still considered a ‘beef’?

Yeah, a lot of chicken sold in stores in the US is injected with saline. I learned this a couple years ago and was pretty shocked.
You can get chicken without it, but it's definitely in the minority.

I agree with you. That's why I don't eat veggie burgers, other than like the couple I've had the past couple years. I ate them just to see what they tasted like. Not because they are good for you.

And for the record, I don't have a problem with meat. It's just the meat we eat today is not the same high quality meat of yesteryear. Nor is the vast quantity consumed by the average person.

When I go to town I have to pass this one mobile home, been there for a while. I get to see a dog pen out in the corner of the lot with a good sized border collie looking dog, chained, in a pen, just sitting there looking at the trailer. More times than not that's how I see the poor thing. What can you do.

I don't hunt larger game (never really lived anywhere that afforded me the space to process and store), but I do enjoy some Cajun spiced squirrel and rabbit.
As for what pisses me off, people who can't see my truck and come close to hitting it. I swear, every vehicle I've owned has been covered in some awesome urban camo.

It's just basic gravity. Our land barges are so massive they just pull the tinier vehicles toward them.

what kind of dog? Small dogs are easily mistaken for rodents.

I can understand being mad about this.

"Your kid looked lonely just sitting there, so we took them, without permission, and let them go play across the street."

Good intention, still an overstepping of boundaries. That's the emotional response, because dog people love dogs like family.

Now on legal grounds, most states view a dog as property, so this would be akin to taking your lawnmower without permission. Still not ok, even from a purely legal standpoint.
