    It's a beautiful place to live, even year round, but I've lived here 30 years and the wife almost the same and she absolutely hates the winters.

    My only time in AZ, I was 23 and visiting a friend at ASU, I was not paying attention to what the state had to offer. Did make it to sedona, tombstone, grand canyon, and Nogales before it was the drug capital though.

    You and your wife definitely should come back for another visit. Southeast AK is more like northern Wa, southern BC. A person needs to visit south central and and interior AK for the full Alaskan experience.

    If Denali is a must, then definitely look into the little town I call home. That's the main attraction here, princess lodges has a huge hotel here, you can take flight seeing tours, glacier landing at the base of Denali, river boat trips. Fishing guides everywhere here, fly into remote spots or take a boat.

    If I win the lottery, the dream is to live in Alaska from May to October and the rest of the year in Florida and spend the rest of my days fishing and hunting.
