Usually after 1000 miles and transmission learning completed , Toyota’s show epa or higher numbers. First 1k miles numbers are always low on Toyota.

A dealer here on the gulf coast in Texas is on FB saying he has a 21 Pro with 2000 miles and ask 70 K for it!!!

Just like with the ford eco-boost. The mileage is not gonna be that significantly more. That’s why I don’t understand why people are dumping their older model to rush to get the newer model. Not going to save a lot of money on gas to justify the premium on the 2022 right now. Maybe down the road when you can negotiate a price finally.

See if you find someone that does the cuts by hand. Sometimes those precut sections get stretched out and look horrible. They don’t go corner to corner either.

More likely to just have the newest whip, mpg be damned.

    Enjoy that!
Here in Ontario we pay 13% tax - that hurts large on a 60 or 70 k truck

Mileage is just one of the many reason people might want to upgrade to the new tundra. It’s a whole new truck and the 2nd gens besides reliability aren’t that exciting.

To prepare for the 2022 Tundra's arrival, the Texas facility, which has an annual capacity of 208,000 vehicles, was expanded by 141,000 linear feet and new processes and technologies were installed as part of a $391 million investment.

This article states they are just now producing the 22s

It looks like the handlebar chrome on the limited is more matte than the regular chrome. Does anyone know?

Can't believe you can only build a limited CC SB with the $4k panoramic roof with options package and have only a Henry Ford color choice only available in black.

    WTF TOYOTA?

I drove 600 miles round trip and achieved 16.5MPG at a steady 80MPH+.

At 55MPH with no traffic the TRD PRO is 20MPG on the highway.

What kills the gas mileage in a V8 is stop and go.

True. I’m mostly commenting on the people who use the mpg as justification. There are a lot of new features compared to our 2nd gen dinosaurs.

My understanding was only pro and SR didn’t have the active front air dam. I haven’t seen a mention that off road package removes the active air dam.

Yeah I’m sure all of these are achievable. But I’m not breaking them down that way. Combined I get 13.9 mpg according to the trip computer. I also drive a ton of highway miles. I have 35k miles on my 2021 that I bought new with 3 miles on it last December 23rd. I’m sure driving 55 on a highway you can get good numbers but I will get run over attempting that.

Is your truck still on stock size tires? If you've upsized your tires then you are going further than your computer calculates and you are getting better MPG than it suggests. You're odometer will be off as well. If you are stock size and you've hand calculated your mileage to ensure that the computer is correct then your data is good, but if you haven't confirmed it... well I wouldn't trust it. It's been shown by lots of members that the computers are not always accurate. Hell, mine was off enough that going to a larger tire size actually corrected it. One of the few times I've had good luck.
