Valhalla’s Shield theft deterrent/skid plates info and ordering post

Yeah it was a pain with the RCI plates, I really don't want to get back under there to bolt anything for a while lol

 

All the Z brackets were left in the vehicle, apparently his wife dropped the trailer off today while I was gone and didn’t take any of the little stuff out of the vehicle. I will likely get them in the morning when they pick up the trailer

 

Yeah I don’t blame ya. I got hell from my mechanic especially because my truck was done with fluid film before the plates. lol.

 

Well if my truck blows up, because I didn't remove the black skid thing, I'll let yall know

 

nooo... I didn't. is this going to cause a problem? I'm planning to do some camping this weekend with it on, on some bumpy road. it was such a pain in the ass getting that installed. i'm dreading getting down there again so quickly :/)

 

I think you will be just annoyed by the possible noise, other than that, it's not gonna eat your cat for breakfast, so I guess you are fine.

 

@Classy63 I assume they knew and/or you contacted them for those important missing pieces. Are you now in possession of all those Z-brackets?

 

well I went under this morning and redid the darn thing. it was rubbing against the plate and the transfer case. also took the time to redo the bolts, I had them sticking out under the car...cuz I was so smart.

 

Ordered mine this morning. Between this thread and seeing news clips regularly I started to feel an urgency. Talked to Tyler on the phone and he was helpful.

 

Well the plates must be doing their job. Still have my cats after parked 4 days and nights in an outside parking lot in downtown Nashville. Was able to sleep a little better knowing the plates were on.

 

I have some but not all. I will have yours maybe tonight or tomorrow. I know you are eager to get them. I made it clear I needed these today

I sent a few things out this morning but I had to go take my wife to get her back checked out. Pretty much meant my afternoon is wasted… I will hopefully pack some more tonight and have a good load for fed ex tomorrow.

UPDATE on the batch coming to catch me up to mid November, I was told I will be picking it up next week and my powder coater will be making these plates a priority. I am placing another order this week, the Black Friday deal went really well.

 

Eager is putting it lightly. That would be nice if they shipped out this week.

On a side note, I hope your wife is doing better.

 

My wife is improving, today is X rays, and checking progress. She got news she didn’t want to hear but I am glad they said it, you are not ready to do more

 

I’m Order: R777797236, I forgot the security bolts so ordered them separately as Order: R574473500. I previously said send them together to save you shipping but I’m starting to get antsy too, I really really want to get the plates installed in the next week or so due to where I’m going to have to park my truck. How far out are the bolts and if the plates are ready before then can you go ahead and send them my way?

Some of the bolt sizes are no longer accurate due to design changes, but I believe the general process is unchanged. There is helpful information such as plate/bolt order, removal of the transfer case mini-plate and lots of pictures.

 

Just took a trip up the coast and had an overnight at a hotel right off the freeway. All I could think about was the fear of walking out in the morning to no cats. Just ordered front and rear Valhalla's with the Pentagon bolts all around. This thread was helpful and glad I read through for the tip on adding the bolts for the TRD Pro skid plate. Looking forward to sleeping easy

 

The bolts and plates will ship together. It has been 2 weeks since your order! You will get them before Christmas

I just realized (once I read other posts lol) that I didn't buy the special spiffy bolts. Do I need to go hurry up and order those? Or just order them prior to the plates shipping?

 

You can order them now and they will ship with the plates. I try to keep a good stock of them as they are pretty popular

 

@Classy63 I know you said you were working on the nut bracket for people with the TRD/RCI skids. Do you have an ETA on production for these guys?

Powder coated would be ideal but I believe my plates are in route so I would also take bare steel and just paint myself.
