this is a roller coaster of a new product launch. It has been frustrating that we have had to rely on youtubers to get our specs, design, mechanics, and information. i really feel they lost control of the message whatever that message is. Dang when we think Ford their message was Built Ford Tough ok we got it true or not . The message was concise and always on point. However, this product launch still feels all over the place. It really makes it sort of uncomfortable, dam I just shit my pants call me b id n

OK I think I finally get it ... I see what Toyota is doing now ... They don’t want to sell too many so to keep interest low (and catering only to the true enthusiasts) they’re doing this terrible roll-out, lack of information, ugly truck that looks like it was chiseled out in the clay mold by an epileptic, horrible colors with severely limited choices, confusing and severely limited option packages, severely limited availability, grossly over priced dealers everywhere, forced aftermarket accessories and services nobody wants or will use, no tow hooks for off road-ers and a compromised four-wheel-drive system that has no for auto mode for on road use in mixed weather. I see what you’re doing Toyota!

I think the difference is 2 vs 4wd.

    What is a truck?

Toyota is trying to market this as a truck for everything but in the midst of their message delivery they have confused us.

If your going to change the suspension on it, there are other packages that will yield the same result for less money. The pro only really makes sense if your going to leave it stock. Any of the other trims with the TRD OR package would give a good platform to build on. (If we are just talking about capability and usefulness.)

Their photo team needs to get better their angles, almost every angle they take with the truck towing makes it look like the rear end is dragging the ground.

I would say its not that good, considering the load in the pic. 2 seater side by sides average 12-1600lbs....Average atvs between 3-600 lbs, lets say thats a heavy trailer 2K....That load is under or just over 5K and the truck in the pic looks like its squatting like a Tacoma would be with that weight.....The difference is the Tacoma is close to max with that load, the Tundra should just be getting started...lol.

So either way you look at it, its either a poor showing of towing, or poor showing of payload or both....

Elitist condescension based upon income just shows a glaringly shallow holier than thou mentality. Making more money than someone doesn't make you better than them, and the cost of something doesn't make it good or valuable. This forum is free and it's awesome, but you can by farts in jars for thousands and it's nothing but hot air that smells like ass. Please, go spend your money elsewhere, you arrogant shit whistle.

Very true, I could go buy a brand new loaded 1794 right now and not have a payment.....but I'm not, so what's his point?

Anyone who isn't sold on the 3rd Gen are poor and can't afford one? That's about the dumbest, most judgmental thing I've heard yet.

I believe that was the point that the guy I quoted was making.

There's a million reasons to be excited about the new Tundra and a million not to be. Liking it or not is an individual choice that individuals will make based on their own priorities, but saying that anyone that thinks it's not good is poor is completely retarded.

If any of the Las Vegas Tundras guys are free today, the Chase Tundra is currently at Primm for the Mint 400.

So has anyone seen anything on the reveal of the electric Tundra that was supposed to take place around 11?

I get it Gene! Most of the posts about the 2022 are....it's too pricey, only a fool, not for that ugly...never paid msrp.....and my personal fav....key their trucks to teach them........why are they here? I have a 2011 Tundra nearing 38,000 miles and paid $34,054.79. I've been offered $26,250 and I'm a jumpin on it!
    Why?
    Love the looks!
safety bells and whistles will help me as I age
worked 2 jobs most of my life and I want this truck...period!
    Short bed for pleasure driving
Backup assist for two size trailers as needed
    Heated seats & steering wheel
    just to name a few

Now you can either be happy for me or key my paint because you think I should fight your fight.
