Just wanted to share another option. You can find tail lights identical to AlphaRex’s on eBay. They come with the same packaging, design, molding, and Taiwan labels. The difference is that they come with a red lens and are about half the price.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-2014-2...ail-Lights-w-Red-Light-Bar-Lens-/193858282386

I’ve been running them for 6 months without issue. If you like the factory red look, then they're a good deal.

Did you add resistors to eliminate hyper-flashing?

I have been running a set of HiRev Blacks since late summer before they moved. I’m my opinion, they’re the best looking and best quality out there. The lights are bright. The sequential turn signal is a perfect amber line that runs horizontal through the tail and cannot be seen unless it’s in use. The sequential lights are activated when locking and unlocking which is fantastic. In addition, their customer service has been great. Some moron in a Uhaul decided to make an illegal uturn and smashed into my ‘21 1794 and took out a bevy of factory and aftermarket parts. One of which was my passenger tail. They got me a replacement really quick and I’m very happy I spent a little more for the quality and service. I intend to own this truck for a decade and I expect these tails to last.

I’m actually deciding between the alpharex and HiRev. Did you get the BRB? It is currently sold out and I kinda don’t like the CRB. :/

yes sir. I agree with you. The BRB is the only way to go. I’d reach out to them and see if they have a timeline for more inventory. They’re fantastic.

Installed. Not sure if I like them or not. Definitely don't love them. Maybe they will grow on me.

Quality seems good, fitment was spot on. My gripe is I thought they would be more red and less smoke. They are quite a bit darker than I thought. I knew they would be smoked, but I thought the Red would stand out more.

Dont be dissuaded though if your shopping this mod. Its a me problem. I'm not a huge fan of dark tinted tails.

@1UP, no disrepsect, but why didn't you choose the ebay knock-offs that @BlueTSS posted:

You already had a reference picture from what MikeyRedFL posted:

See above pic. But here's a video of the red smoke on the passenger side of the white 4Runner:

Not a huge fan of knock off imitations. Think about it this way.. You're hustling and then get an idea to fit a specific need. You R&D, pay all that money to spin up production, sink life savings and your heart in this product.. Have a successful product and process in hand only to have eBay or Amazon rip off your design for less.

I see your point. That's why I still waited for my Valhalla's Shields from Tyler instead of going to the other guy that tried to knock him off.

Nice. No judgement from me either way. Just explaining my logic. To your point I think I would of like the red knock offs better.

In my opinion I’d say the alpharex’s are the “knock offs”, but all these taillights come from the same warehouse in Taiwan. The tail lights have been around for a good while before Alpharex started selling them, most people just don’t recognize them cause they don’t come with the funky tailgate stick on.
    14F89C80-710B-4287-87C9-BA24D4BDD380.jpg

no clue on the new ones they’re releasing though since I haven’t seen them come up on any of the china marketplaces.

Yeah I don’t wanna disappoint y’all but @Ryuu is right. The eBay AlphaRex lights and the “official” ones all come the same. I compared the two.

It seems like there were at least 4 color/lens options and AlphaRex chose 2 of those to sell on their website. Buying from AlphaRex means you pay more but you’ll get a 2 year warranty.

Now the new AlphaRex Luxx might be a different story. These actually have an AlphaRex logo on the tail lights itself. If you look closely at their Pro taillights, there is no AlphaRex logos on it.
