Yeah, I know for a fact mine is auto-down only on the driver's side. It would be cool if something will work for AC/ DC too.

    I just think it's weird how @shifty` 's is.

Looks like there's an IC involved for the auto down in my 02 AC Tundra. I'm sure the Sequoia has something similar but does auto up and auto down for both windows.

Yea no. If the cab looked like that, I wouldn’t have useable part either

I believe I asked EL a while ago if the switches or relays from a newer 4runner could be swapped over(all auto up/down from driver seat) but I think he said he hadn’t seen it done yet or that it was actually possible

it would be nice to have all 4 like that. Makes me wanna tear apart the master switch to see if you can just swap each individual switch out to an auto one...

    The window motors to
Make it function properly don’t exist on our trucks. The 1st gen tacomas with a lot of wiring can have it work on the passenger side due to 4runners having a motor that works

I just assumed it was something mechanical in the switch, independent of the motors. That mechanical item in the switch is what gives the audible 'click' when the switch is full throw, and the resistance when the motor bottoms out trips the switch OFF.

But I'm probably grossly misjudging how it works.

What's unique about the motors that allow it to work for auto down and up on both driver and passenger side? I thought it was all in the controls of it.

but you can't drop all 4 (or two) windows with one touch and then gangster lean with one hand on the wheel and the other on the console all the while your windows are still going down.....it's truly unacceptable.

If the internal pipe is perforated I can't imagine the exhaust doing the loop. Maybe it acts as a resonator?

The VFtuner coming for 05 up tundras has me digging in deeper. If our trucks can produce similar gains as the 5.7, a stock 4.7 with a tune cab eek out 20ish hp. Makes me wonder what they’ll make with a tune optimised for headers and all that hood stuff..

That is truly ugly. But would THEORETICALLY provide double the muffling without two mufflers. Or if it's really sciency/lucky, it'll put the exhaust pulses on opposite nodes and cancel the noise that way.

Most likely it's just an ugly, heavy, largely useless 'muffler'. But you never really know.

Dropped the corolla off today with new regulator. Quoted $175 for labor, and the part. Haven't gotten a quote for just labor. Figuring $100-ish. Money well spent.
