Already self tapped it into right side of it haha

 

you could use some automotive trim from like pepboys or AutoZone to give it nice clean line on the cuts. it's really cheap under 10 bucks prob.

 

Yea I have some on order that hasn’t come in yet so once it comes in I’ll put it on

 

Driving down bumpy roads I saw in the side view mirrors that my bedsides were flopping around. I cut all the supports off when I installed the bumper so I made some aluminum brackets to tighten things up.
While I was at it I made a bracket to mount the trailer hook up

 

Do you have a brake or was that angle stock?

 

I made them at the sheet metal shop I used to work at, they have a couple big brakes, I go there a lot to make brackets and stuff.

Got some jerry cans and mounts installed today. Will be nice not having to use my dirt bike gas cans which usually have race fuel in them

 

Dude what is going on?! I've been looking at jerry cans for the past week and trying to figure out where to mount them in the bed

 

Which cans are those?

 

Haha this was the best place for me, out of the way for the most part too

 

They're Wavian cans and Smittybuilt mounts.

 

I did the 38 gallon swap and now I just cry

 

Just be sure to vent those cans. I had the same ones and even with venting, with temperature changes they got pinhole leaks.

 

Damn. Those smittybuilts suck.

Not yet. I went through these and a pair of midland cans. Both ended up leaking despite my best effort to keep them vented regularly.

 

Went to Prairie City OHV today to meet up with with @GodlessPro @Cruzer and @wandering_boy. It was nice to to get the truck out for a bit, and great seeing Matthew in his beautiful truck and Cruz in his insane rig. Also a pleasure to meet Jason. Looking forward to getting the truck out again soon

Not sure what else is out there, but I’d probably try that wavian one before the smittybilt. I removed mine after I got a new truck with the 38 gallon tank. Although I have a trip coming up that requires extra gas so I’ll be looking soon or might try welding the top holder to make it stay put.

 

Damn wish I would have seen that thread before I bought those lol oh well

Time to put your welder to use and make your own. You can make something pretty dang nice for what they charge for Jerry mounts.

 

Don’t worry, they’ll be good for a couple of years. By the time they go bad, I’ll have a fix ready for you.
