Do the resistors have plugs on them so there is no need to posi tap into the factory wiring? I’d prefer not to mess up factory wire insulation. Can we get a pic of them?

They are plug and play with connectors. No wire cutting or taps needed.

Can confirm what @Tundra234 said. They literally just screw in-line with our harnesses and the VLED bulbs. No splicing required! Just gotta find a flat surface to stick them to, but there's plenty of those behind the taillight!

Are resistors front and rear specific?

Not necessary. It completes the circuit. Some can be either Installed in front or rear that meets the load of the flasher relay.

different years, different applications have shown to have different outcomes and yet some similar

No they are not, and if you have enough resistance in one place or the other it can actually eliminate HF across the system. If you do too much though you can get other weird conditions which is why I don't use a huge one in our kits.

Been loving these! They are definitely bright but they don't seem to be too bright. Was driving at midnight and was stopped at the traffic light. The vehicle that was behind me was fully illuminated in red from the brake lights! I could completely make out the driver and he wasn't squinting/covering his eyes/or looking pissed!
Thanks again for making this happen @memario1214

They are bright and I love it more in daytime. People can see you much better with upper and lower both lighting up. That's what I love most about. Both upper and lower, both light up. It always bothered me that only lower lights up with light on.

I keep waiting for another Tundra owner that notices it and asks how it was done. I purposely get in front of them lol.

I've been doing this for almost 3 years in my Tacoma, still doesn't seem like anybody notices.

I picked up a someone a few weeks ago and we were about a hour into our ride when he asked if this was the same Ram I had the last time he was in town theres one pile of people that don’t notice a thing. My last truck was white too guess that’s all he noticed.

Not much gets passed me and much less if it’s a Tundra with mods lol

Installed my taillights yesterday love the new look…..thanks to Colton for arranging shipping to Canada appreciate it very much.

I think the consensus has been “if you’re not sure, get the resistors.” There’s just too many factors to definitively say that they aren’t needed, so spending the $20 is a safe bet.

I gambled and didn't order them for my '18. I then had hyperflash even though I have halogens in all my turns prior to this kit. I then had to wait for the resistors.
I say, spend the 20 to be safe. I see you ordered. Hope your install goes smooth!

Just install them while you have everything apart. It won't hurt anything having them in.

Did this yesterday. Really like this upgrade. Kit is very easy to install. I like the LED double lights while maintaining factory look.
