Put that rod in a shadow box, for some hall of fame wall art.

Good job on fabricating one from scratch for your trk. Looks like it was either a full bumper purchase or a weld it yourself kit.
Bumper definitely looks solid, I like it. Use 3/16" or 1/4" plate?

Got it to the point where it started but there was a weird clacking on the passenger side back cylinders not sure which but I'm taking it to the mechanics to help diagnose whatever is going on and should be back on the road

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping to but we will see worse case scenario the motor has a warranty

Look into Powertrain Products if you haven't yet. Warranty on the long block and I just used their warranty to replace a Ford 4.0L OHV engine in my 99 explorer after 20,000 miles after the crank bearings failed and they cover the labor too up to $100 per hour. Recapped $1580 in labor and a new engine.

whatcha gonna do with the old engine? Take it apart and scrap it? Where you at? Im near san antonio, so what would it cost to ship valve covers or whatnot? Oil pan? Is there a hole in the block, i might not be adverse to roadtrip for a block to turn into a workbench. Or heads for mockup purposes.

by all means, try to sell the bits, but dumpster divers exist, and sometimes we need junk.
