I tried a dozen “solutions” always returned to hyper flashing. Just gave up and put the regular bulbs in.

You put regular bulbs into what? Do you have the Alpharex rear lights? Any info appreciated

Sorry, I have oem rear tails with 2018+ sequoia headlights and after most available bulbs (100 bux to 20) eventually always had hyperflashing again.

Where did you wire in the resistors? I can’t speak directly to the Sequoia lights, but I’m running Alpharex tails and Morimoto headlights, which I would presume are similar. I installed the Alpharex first, and they ran correctly with no issue. Once I added the Morimotos, I got hyperflash. I installed the resistors in the tails, and it fixed the issue all around.

Also, could it be the resistors themselves? Don’t know if they’re all equal, or if there are differing levels of quality/resistance. Pretty sure I got mine from Headlight Revolution. I’m no electrician, but maybe you need to run two in a row to get the needed load? That doesn’t seem likely, but if you have an extra set around it might be something to try.

I wired them into the tails. White/black and green wires. The Sequoia lights worked flawlessly with the OEM tails. I got the 60 ohm resistors from superbright LED’s. Maybe I should try HR? Did you use 60ohm 25W?

Is this what you used? Are you running the Alpharex tails too? I assume it fixed your issue?

I'm running the Sequoia LED headlights and VLED bulbs in OEM taillights. VLED supplied resistors for the turn signals, and they've worked flawlessly. I had a lot of trouble with Superbright LEDs brakelights in my wife's VW Beetle. On very dim all the time when the engine is running and light switch off. With the light switch on at night, you could not tell any difference between tail and brake intensity.

Yes sir it fixed my issue with the hyperflash
    with the alpharex taillights.
I put electrical tape around the connectors to make sure they didn’t come loose from road vibrations9B7FC417-C95D-4C43-AF64-704030C4EB9F.jpg

One of the videos I watched about resistor installs had a segment on common errors that occur.
They show how to test the wires and install the resistor the best way so it stays installed and does not come lose or short.
Think it was from Headlight Revolution or The Retrofit Source website.
Then it goes over common errors people make putting the resistors on their trucks.

I emailed them what I was putting on my truck. They responded that day with "50w 6ohm" resistor. Sold in pairs for $23.32.

    Common errors:
Wiring the resistor to the ground and parking light of the tail lights. Use a voltage meter to make sure you are wiring it to the ground and the turn signal.

Putting the resistor next to items that do not respond well to heat. Resistors get very hot when in use. Mount them to a metal area away from other wires and plastic.

Using a resistor not strong enough to handle load or cheap resistor from Amazon you 1. Guessed was right voltage or 2. Hoped was not cheap Chinese fake item.

    From VLEDS Website:
"Exclusive The VLR is by far the cleanest and safest way to add load to any vehicle lighting system. VLR resistors accomplish the same task as a common gold resistor but are easier to install, have a lower profile, and run 50% cooler (250°F MAX).

One for One We get asked all the time, how many resistors will I need? The answer is simple: If you're removing a filament turn signal bulb add one VLR-6 in its place. It's like balancing a scale; if you remove weight, the scale will be unbalanced, so you're simply putting the same amount of weight (load) back on."

Just to update this thread. None of these worked on my truck. Hyper flashing regardless of which resistor I installed. The flashers work at a normal rate, so it’s definitely a draw issue. For now I’m living with the fast blinking as much as I hate it

I would contact the company of the lights that are hyperflashing. They can give you advice on how to fix it. Headlight Revolution has a Youtube video that shows how to properly add a resistor.
I emailed them what I was putting on my truck. They responded that day with "50w 6ohm" resistor. Sold in pairs for $23.32.
Email/Call them and tell them what you have on your truck and let them tell you which resistor on will need.
