I'll put my angle finder on it tomorrow and see if they are actually the same angle, my concern was that they weren't, along with the picture!

hey were pretty good quality and had holes to zip tie the wiring. They definitely angled down, which I didn’t prefer. I ended up ordering the CBI which are definitely a better quality bracket, didn’t angle down (at least for me), but did take several weeks to get.

The short antenna’s usually perform much worse. I did order the one below, and seeems to do OK. Although I use Apple Music more than radio now.

This is mine. I usually use Spotify or an audiobook, but I've never noticed reception issues when I do use the radio. I'd buy this one again. In fact, I may just get one for my dad's Taco...

That’s 2 for CBI the waiting won’t be much of a bother I’m doing a list of things I want to get most have a pretty long waiting time on them including the ditch lights I plan on installing. This helps narrow my options a lot more

TRD rear sway bar. The truck feels much more planted and handling is much improved. I didn't mind how it drove before, but this is even better.

Can these be installed with lift kits? Does the size of lift matter?

Yes, but in your case, you will need custom links because of the unusual amount of lift your truck has.

Yeah I got it aligned and took it out to Anza Borrego but nothing crazy. I plan on taking it out to Sandstone Canyon in a couple of weeks. Today I installed my Trailtoys high clearance bumper. Next on the list is rock sliders and a front bumper. I'd get under armor plates but my wife said I need to chill for a little lol

I ordered some race relation wheels 5x RR7-H

Anza Borrego area is very cool.... Or I guess hot.

Been almost 20 years, but I remember the oasis fondly. Bet there are some fun trails around there.

I remember some fun trails out past Julian as well. Used to go shooting around there

Yeah it's pretty hot in the summer time but in the winter it's perfect. We go there all the time because it seems like the only place in SoCal to do anything offroading.

Drove from MN to CO for a hunting trip (2,500 miles total). The Slurp was the MVP of this adventure, no question. I have a whole new appreciation of the capabilities of this vehicle. I drove up a gnarly National Forrest access road (3 times) to get into our hunting spot. Not sure how the Slurp crawled up this road or how I have running boards left. Also crossed over the 150,000 mile mark driving home, long live the Tundie!

I'm sorry! I thought I already did this!!

IMHO, I wish the CBI brackets weren't angled, they seem like the angles aren't the same on each mount, and to me it just seems like poor worksmanship. But then again they're the cheapest ones for our truck... and it does come with longer bolts for your hood

Ha! That’s alright it’s the holidays but I do see what you mean about the angle the driver side looks slightly more angled than the passenger. Although I’m thinking it’s because the passenger side has an extra attachment to it that makes it look more flat/centered. I would say that maybe modifying it by cutting that side piece out but it might defeat the purpose of having room to open up the hood and not have it scratch the windshield area.

For example take a look at their website picture. It almost looks like there’s no outside angle might be because it’s a side shot picture

And I was thinking they should have made the hole where is circled red but again I would have to see it in person to really get a better idea. Hey much appreciated for the reply in the end I’ll end up going with these since they are cheaper than most lol

Yeah I agree with your thoughts, I’ve thought about cutting them and rewelding to a flat/level surface instead of the angle, I can get you a picture with the hood open… also thinking about heating them up in the vice and just bending them straight
