Love my LCPII. I carry Federal HST rounds in it and hope I never need it. It goes with me everywhere unless I am carrying something larger.

I'm not singling you out, just thought I'd mention this for the masses.

Although I'd never tell anyone what ammo to carry in their firearm, unless asked, I will bring this up.
When I first started to carry .380 I researched it.
Well, I over researched just like I do everything else.

There was somewhat of a debate of FMJ or JHP for .380 self-defense.
ANY other round I'd say JHP hands down.
But the topic of .380 as an SD ammo, expansion and penetration, is worth consideration if anyone is interested.

Just a short article on it:
The .380 Ammo Debate: Full Metal Jacket or Jacketed Hollow Point? (usacarry.com)

I ended up carrying a combination of both.
Speer JHP in the chamber and the top mag round, and alternated quality FMJ and JHP for the rest of the mag.
Figured I covered all the bases doing it that way. :D

Just something to think about, as I tend to over think things...

How's the Pachmayr grip compare to the Hogue? I have a Hogue on 1 pistol and like it and was looking at getting another Hogue for a different gun but I'm open to other grip options.

The Pachmayr grip glove on the LCP has a little thickness to it on the sides in the middle of the grip.
    I like it.

    104_0092_b95bd0d480253f706493b51b596ef553c82256a5.jpg 104_0097_3d087014613c949b266c3f126a59a9c90ed50fb7.jpg

I really like my finger mag bases.
Ruger sent 2 of those to me when they did the recall, along with a hat I never wore. :D

    lcp5_f17d0a812fd5bc684e864d314e082107ee750d46.jpg lcp4_8daee2f8d07994831913d859f66963f2a42ab17f.jpg

    lcp7_78334b77aa45534ceb5c01f22ef3f6aee3d5759e.jpg

I tried a Pachmayr grip glove on one of my Gen 3 G19s, only to try to fill in the finger grooves.
I LOATHE the finger grooves on a compact Glock, they don't bother me on a full size.
But it made the entire grip too thick for my preferences.

    104_0083_edb3facb408f1afce11274252ef532b6b9549834.jpg 104_0089_aba76c81fc7b64ded6336aae78f4784867af3fe0.jpg 104_0086_fc94c4b94a6cb19677b41c4cdbbe0956bc38c698.jpg

You can also see on this pistol that I had the trigger guard undercut.
It still didn't fit my hand and I traded that one off.

I’m fortunate enough to like the finger grooves on all glocks. My 19 and 26 did get undercuts though.

I literally just picked up a 512 at Academy for $349. It's more for a classic build and the price was budget friendly due to Christmas around the corner. However I love the reticle so my plan is to save up and grab an xps2 in the future for another build I'm working on. Pics below...

That’s a damn good price and a damn fine looking rifle. Going for an M4A1 clone I assume? Looks awesome with the A2 furniture, matech rear sight, and the 512 on top. I’ve always wanted to put together a rifle that looks like that with that exact hardware. This is my only classic build because I always wanted a 20” barrel with a rifle length gas system and the basic polymer furniture. It’s just a classic styling that never gets old!

Thanks! The build started out as a nod to one of my favorite movies 13 Hours. I had the Colt M4 stock and Colt A2 pistol grip in my parts bin. I've been playing with different furniture setups since I've got it put on. Haven't fully decided yet but leaning towards leaving the m4 and a2 on it. Decisions decisions

Ditch the sopmod, ditch the ctr. Even though the ctr is my top choice for like 6 other builds, that M4 stock is the ticket for that build 100%!

Even if that’s not what was used in the movie, the M4 is much more period correct. 13 hours is a fantastic movie but one of the lead characters is using a SAI GRY, so they’re not exactly using authentic hardware.

Yeah ctr is my go to stock for most everything but I'm not feeling it on this build. I was hoping I'd like it or the sopmod so I'd have qd front and rear and run my magpul ms4 sling on it but now I'll probably build a blue force gear sling and route through the slot on the buttstock and add a qd swivel on the front and attach it to the handguard

You could always do a QD end plate and not change the look at all. I’ve got the BCM QD end plate on mostly everything. That’s my preferred sling attachment location because when you quickly shoulder the rifle, the sling doesn’t get caught behind the butt pad as much, and even more importantly, you can still shoulder bump to your non dominant shoulder when you pie a corner.

Man I love seeing the classics

I just snagged a used A2 stock that will eventually get a carry handle 20” upper

Agreed! In a world full of scopes, red dots, lights, laser, VG’s, trick triggers, and piston driven systems, it’s kind of nice to get back to the milspec basics once in a while.

Just picked up a MPX-K (edit maybe this is a MPX Copperhead actually lol)! Threw on a cheap red dot laying around for the time being. This would be a good backpack gun.

WTF - did they go to a fixed handguard on the K now? And integrated collapsing brace? I thought that was only on the Copperhead.
I love my MPX-K with the replaceable handguards. I did get rid of the collapsing brace that came with mine (it added about 2” to the rear of the pistol) and switched it for a JMac arm bar and tailhook. I need to replace the keymod guard with a MLok one, but I’ve also got an 8” Midwest Industries handguard for going over the suppressor

Oh shit I think you're right! I don't even know what I bought :D it looks like this is a copperhead, but what I thought was the copperhead and what is listed on Sigs website is the ultra shorty which we also held, so apparently there's two different copperhead versions, the 3.5" barrel non suppressor compatible tan one and then the 4.5" barrel suppressor compatible one we have... Looks like this might be the "newer" copperhead vs the one on their website, but plain as day it says yours is the K which obviously isn't mine :D mines like a cross between the original copperhead and the K lmao. And unless you replaced your grip, the K on the website has the Magpul style grip vs both of ours have the swoopy Sig one...

The wife had been wanting a B&T APC9 but we saw the MCXs which were even smaller, and for 60% of the price of the B&T... Plus I'd been watching reviews of PCCs and a lot of people ranked the MPX as #1. Now I just need to find a MCX in .300blk :D

Got two of them (6.75” and 9”)
And an 11.5” 5.56 one as well.

That B&T is sweet. But they are damn proud of it. At that money, I’d be leaning pretty heavily toward an MP5 clone.

I had an LCP and sold it because I was getting FTF and didn't trust it anymore. Love the G43 and love the M&P Shield, but love the G43 more, and that's including my P365 SAS. I can't hit shit with the SAS, but I don't blame it, I blame myself not being used to the sights.

Gotta love good shotguns. From #bird to #slug. I think if you only own 3 firearms - Glock 17, Ruger PC9 and a shotgun. 1 mag style, only 2 calibers and a whole lot of everything.

    Edit for full frame Glock

I'd tend to agree with this statement.
Although I'm a fan of my Gen 2 G17s, if I could only own 1 Glock, it would be my G45..
Full sized grip with a compact slide and no finger grooves.
