Used SC Question

The VF Tuning canned tune that came with the kit is not working for some reason. Something about registration for a code that I haven't got. Any help would be appreciated.

 

I know very little about tuning/tuners, but are they Vin specific? If it was installed on another truck you might have to purchase credits or pay for another registration code?
This is just a guess tho.
I was lucky enough to find a dealership to reflash mine after I installed my used blower. Is that a possibility for you?

 

You're going to have to enlighten us on the backstory here.

 

I would get it, my last supercharger had 100k miles on it and still ran like a champ. I even ported, polished, changed the oil, and re-lubed it.

 

The TRD SC is a rebuild from superchargersonline. It was supplied with a Magnuson fit kit which included VF Tuning. The VF Tuning requires some sort of registration code, but it hasn't emailed the code to me. At this point, I'm willing to ditch the VF tune and go with whatever canned tune to get it running.

 

One other thing. I had scrapped my OEM airbox when I upgraded it to a Redrock CAI. The TRD air intake box does not include the bulkhead connector portion of it. Besides drawing air from outside of the engine bay for cooler air, I'll assume I don't really need it. However, if someone has one laying around I'd be happy to take it off your hands. I've located a couple on eBay, but I have to buy the whole assembly.
