no kidding. i checked the status on fedex and package is delayed. lol. good thing i have the next two weeks off to install this puppy.

 

Working on installing my plates finally. Any tricks for the driver side rear bolt? Not a ton of room to thread the nut on the bolt due to transfer case and the rear cat.

 

I hand installed the nut as far as I could, then wrangled my socket on the nut and got a socket wrench on and tightened it as best I could. Absolutely a massive PITA!

 

Was able to use the paper towel trick to get this threaded on. All plates in, bolts finger tight. Now to tighten all of the bolts!

I have some work I want to do under there, I'm waiting for a plate to make it easier to reinstall.

To tighten the two front bolts I had to pull my truck up on the curb to create more space. So laying in the gutter tightening bolts. Neighbors were probably wondering what the hell I was doing. It was also raining which did not make it fun.

I have a TRD Pro front skid to install but will wait until I can use my buddy’s shop.

 

No thanks on the hot motor.

I just got home from a 5 day road trip from FL to VA and back. I was sweating bullets each morning, a couple of the hotels bordered up on some sketchy residential style motels with folks seeming to be in permanent residence out in the parking lot at all hours. All cats intact and hope to have my plates for my next road trip in late Jan 2022

 

@Classy63 are you planning to make skid plate for the gas tank as well? I'm asking because you are basically almost there .

 

I just installed the RCI gas tank skid. Super easy install and looks great. It only took two weeks to receive it.

Not at this time. I have looked into it, and I like how some others have done it to the point it would be me rebranding something that would look and act almost the same.

Diablo, your order is at powder coat, I am supposed to get a batch tomorrow night. I am for sure not working Thursday and I doubt I will work Friday either, but I plan on trying to break the Fed Ex truck again Monday.

For the near future of days off for me, as stated, the 25th and 26th this week, the 1st and 5th next week (Going racing). BUT! At that point, I will have everything I have now gone, and I will have another batch or 2 getting sent out. I sent info for another batch today that catches me up to today. I will never let my back log get that bad ever again… I want to thank everyone for dealing with my terrible lead times…

 

I was going to buy it but the cost ... damn. also I'm not in a dire need for it at the moment
