7” lift and some trimming and chopping my rear bumper was all I needed. No more rubbing at full flex.

This is great news! I have an 8" lift now and was scratching my head over 40's. I really liked the look at they drove nice as well. Did you end up re gearing? I did not as I really didn't see an issue. I re-geared my Tacoma to 5.29's and loved the low end but the top end was extremely taxed.

Yeah I’m regeared 5.29s, goes up hills fine and seems fine. Getting custom Alcan springs made to get 6” of lift at the rear, which equates to 10” total.

Nice. I am sure it goes up hills like a GOAT! Not a FORD GOAT but a real GOAT!:rofl::rofl:

I am looking to upgrade my rear springs. Did you call them direct and discuss? I was wondering if there were certain things I need to share like current height, etc. I had Dobinsons on my Tacoma but those were pretty straight forward as I only had a 3" set up.

Also, did you do lockers E or Air with the new gearing? What gears are you running? I had Nitros and ARB Air Lockers and was pretty happy with them.

I did ARB lockers with Nitro 5.29s but you’ll read on this forum that the Nitros make a lot of whining noise so there are better alternative.

I emailed Alcan’s sales and just started talking about my truck. At the end of the day what they want is the weight of each tire in the different configurations that you’re going to have. I had my daily driving / off-roading weight, and then I had my overlanding weight which was 500lbs more.

Actually.. you're gaining an inch of clearance.

    (37 - 35) / 2 = 1

So not sure what that says about your buddy.
