07 tundra crewmax limited. When I accelerate there is a little loose rocking. Nothing too crazy, but I can feel it. The floor bolts are all tight, it feels like it is just the back section. Thinking I may have to take off the trim where the power seat buttons are on the side and look for bolts to tighten--anyone have any tips on taking those off? Anyone have experience with this issue? Thanks!

Did you try pumping up the manual lumbar support? Mine will have odd sounds and feel a little loose, but when I pump up the lumbar it fixes it for a while. I even had Toyota look at it 70k miles ago when it was new but they said everything was ok.

I think my 12 does this also, just a tiny bit and only on hard acceleration and braking. It's only on the right side of the seat. Hmm.. hope someone has ideas.

Taking my 21 tundra crewcab in for the same issue felt it first week driving…. Their “interior specialist said it’s normal cause his also does it”. But then went ahead and ordered a whole new railing system for the seat…. They think it’s the riveted part of the seat that’s connected to a scissor lift looking part. I’ll let you you know the results if they can fix it….

Do a search (upper right) Ive seen this problem discussed in threads here several times before. Seat rail issue or could be something else. On newer trucks, many have had the issue fixed under warranty.

Crazy. This helped it quite a bit...to the point where I don't notice it. Thanks for the tip! Still, if anyone happens to find a fix besides this, please keep us posted!

I have 08 Tundra and as you guys I have the same issue. I have the seat out and everything looked normal. As I was took the mounting bolts out and laid the seat back and ran the the functions. Moving the seat front to back either way the two forward seat mounts seam to buckle (pull in) while the motor rotates a cable, which turns the worm gears under the front of the seat. It seems like there is a brace missing. I can actually move the seat quite a bit in relation to the front floor mounts. Don't have time to fix it right now. Curious to see others options.

I’ve recently started having the same issue. What’s strange is it doesn’t do it all the time. Just occasionally.

I had started searching in here for it, but just haven’t had time to dig into it. But it’s definitely a complaint lots of folks have had.

Had a similar issue with my 21 Platinum Crewmax. Felt like a 1/8" slide back or forward when quickly accelerating/decelerating.

If I grabbed the seat at the points circled in green and rocked it back and forth I could feel/hear something buckling. This was the same sound and feeling heard when accelerating/decelerating.

By adding a vertical brace between the floor and the metal strip on the power seat track above the blue line in the below image the rocking/buckling went away.

While it's great to feel like the rocking is gone you won't be able to adjust the power seat with such a brace in place though.
