I have to say. Even with my poor eyesight. I could have missed that pothole.

Is it sitting on the flywheel? Bad practice. Support your local block. (looks like it was stood on bolts, and one of those bolts snapped)

No, just not all of the bolts are in it and there is no weight on the flywheel

I thought an I6 or L6 myself. Thought I was on a Jeep or old GM forum for a sec.

I think this is what's questionable.

Haha, not really XD it is a lot to remember I just did not want to pay a mechanic to do it. Also just take tons of pics and ask for advice
But I will say one thing this is the second motor I have swapped the other one was on a subaru and I'm only 17 so if I can do it anyone can

i was looking at you front and couldn’t help but notice a lack of skid plate and maybe fenders? which may have led to the swamping of your prior engine???

Thats a nascar engine. Nothing in common with a factory toyota engine.

That nascar engine is probably 3x the price of a normal one or more?

I havent really looked into it too much, but id imagine a tested/reman/installed toyota v8 shouldnt be more than $3-4k. The $350 for a 4.7 in this thread was a smoking deal. I could see a junkyard asking $1k

I suppose it depends on who you have rebuild/install, but where I live, it would be $6.5 - $8.5 depending on specific parts list with a hole in the block like the OP. Less if you have a rebuildable block. Less if you do the labor.
