Yup I had same lift. 7" BDS with fox coils. I kept my fox shocks and sold the BDS lift though. I went with the pro comp lift because no one in town will warranty the BDS lift if it causes excessive tire wear. But with the pro comp 4 wheel parts could warranty the lift and insure proper allignment. I called BDS and talked to them and they told me the BDS lift for the Tundra has been known to wear tires faster for some reason. So although I had a 7" BDS on previous Tundra I went with a pro comp on this truck for warranty and service reasons. BDS still makes a great lift.

Interesting, does the same thing apply to the BDS 4.5" lift? I've been looking at going that route for my truck.. might steer me away if that's the case.

I doubt you will have any issue with the 4.5" BDS lift. I was referring to the 7" lift.

Gotcha! I thought you were talking about BDS lifts on the Tundra in general, my bad.

That is good info to know and Thank you.. I was told if you do aftermarket upper control arms that would fix that problem because you have more travel room with the aftermarket upper control arms. My last set of tires wore even just wore out super fast...I got 22k out of them. I thought it was just because I had the Nitto mud extreme tires the tread pattern was so aggressive.

Aftermarket control arms will definitely help with alignment and the bigger offset wheels. I still like BDS lifts. The pro comp was just a better choice for my setup. The nitto muds are a very loud and fat wearing tire because they have big spacing between the tire pattern.

Here is a pic of my 2012 Tundra with a 7" BDS lift (non coil over), 20"x12" Fuel Nutz wheels & 35" tires. I didn't have any excessive tire wear on that truck. I also had stock Upper a arms. IMG_5377.jpg

Looking for more pics of 20X12 -44. Looking at getting some right quick, just don't want to stick out too much.

I have a ~7" lift and bushwacker fender flares.

I cut the body mount and had the weld plate installed to help with clearance. It’s on my build page.
