I thought of that, but would really like to keep it aired up if possible. I took a short drive about 3 miles or so to get a haircut after I put the spare tire under the bed. It didn't feel right, sort of like something was preventing the back end from flexing when I drove into the parking lot (slight uphill turn to get it). I'm pretty sure the shackles were not moving as freely as they should from the tire rub.

I've read a few posts and think my next step is to remove the tire and drill out the rivets on the tire alignment brackets so I can remove them. This should free up enough spare to align the tire in a better position eliminating any shackle rub. Sounds like the rivets are not the easiest to drill out, but I'll give it a shot.

I think you can just grind off the leafs that extend down and leave the rivets alone.

Yeah, that's another option as well. I figured if I'm going to be in there I'd rather remove them completely vs just hacking them up if possible. Once I can get the full size spare mounted up in there I've got the helmholtz resonators to try and fit also (2 for the TRD dual). Probably going to be a very tight fit with everything else.

Interested to see how it turns out because I am going to go coachbuilder shackles and a resonator as well. I am trying to talk myself into 35s but the 295/70 is going to be more than enough for me needs and will likely feel like a rocket with my 5.29s

I'll keep you posted. Sounds like we have the same setup. I wanted to stick with 295/70/18's so that I could fit a matching size spare underneath. Which exhaust are you running?

Im going to be getting my dirty deeds 10" with resonator installed this weekend by keith. i dont have the shackles in yet, they are due to arrive in a week or 2. I am going to be installing the shackles, 5160's, carrier bearing drop and brake line extensions in the back maybe after thanksgiving. Waiting on 6112's before I can do the front. Gear install is going to happen early january. Tires will be the last thing since I am waiting to preorder some SR8s in the next few weeks. Ill be getting STT pros unless i talk myself into getting BFG 35s.....

Saw these before, I really wanted to go with the CB because i havent heard any negatives and they honestly look so beefy, i cant help but think they would be the best. I think I should be able to fit the spare. I plan on running deflated with the CB shackles since I always have an air compressor and a power tank in the truck anyway.

i had CB +2s and had the same rubbing with my 295s. Got the proforms when they were like $60/set. Zero issues and fit the spare easily. Good luck with whatever decision you go with.

So do you think removing the spare tire guides isn't going to solve the problem?

I removed mine and the spare fit was still tight with the CBs

The CBs are a fantastic product and even better owner. the proforms, im my opinion, do just as good of a job but are less expensive. The main thing you need is to just switch out the oem bushings with the poly bushings.

Frustrating... I've toyed with going to Eibach stage 2 kit... they are in stock from manufacturer. Boss is local to me rather give them my business though

I actually think I am going to pull the trigger on these. just checked them out and their headquarters are about 10 minutes from my house. I have had eibachs before on sports cars and was happy with them.

295/70/18s with +60mm offset wheels. Minor rub on the passenger side sway bar with the Eibach Stage 1 Kit @ 2" lift and removed "wings" from skit plate.

Besides that, it has been awesome.

Looks great, those wheels are sexy. Doesnt look like you are running a spacer correct? Stock UCA?

How slight is your rub on the sway bar itself?

You can barley hear it inside the cab with the radio off. I only noticed it from the steering wheel giving feedback.

I guess there is no way to cure that except with offset or spacers.
