What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Could you use the trucks factory gps antenna? Did you have to use separate mic for Bluetooth phone? Steering wheel controls work? I may have asked that. Thinking of pulling the trigger on one. How does the CarPlay work? Thanks in advance.

 

I didn't do anything on my truck today. Going to drive it to the local dealership later to take a test drive on the new Corolla Cross.

 

Put one of my favorite tools to use…the dremel; equipped with a grinding/sanding stone wheel, I was able to create clearance by grinding a depression on the Z-bracket for amp research power step arm that rubbed when closed on my newly installed cat/skid plates. Touched up with a mixture of powdercoat black, hammered silver, and flat white spray paint to match the existing powdercoat on the cat/skid plates. Creaking is gone.

 

Let me know what you think of it. My daughter is thinking about getting the AWD version.

Re-torqued all the bolts on the TRD Performance Dual Exhaust install I did 500+ miles ago.


Nothing moved, all good to go!

Plus I just had to try out my new torque wrench.

Made my order. Got the full height bull bar option. Now have to save up to get all the Baja lights to go with it!!

 

I DECKED her out ! 3 hours to build but not sure if thats turtle speed, average or rabbit speed.... did it all myself no 2nd pair of hands but still managed ok and even found a work around for the difficulty on the front wheels for the drawers

Nice look! Been looking at the same thing. Any comments in the ride quality? And is that a top hat spacer with the strut as well? That little silver puck with the toy tech name on it.

 

Actually did it over the weekend, but thanks to time change I haven't had much daylight time at home to snap pics. Installed the C4 Overland bumper with @Baja Designs Squadron Pro fogs and 30" S8.

I wanted to but the numbers just weren’t there plus I have done quite a bit to the current truck. I was going to have to redo leather in the new one, take off my suspension parts to put on the new one, re sound deaden, transfer my audio equipment, and deal with the chrome delete again. And honestly I really expected the 5.7 to be more noticeable of a difference than the 4.6 but just wasn’t for normal driving but May have been more noticeable with towing. They offered me a pretty good deal honestly but with the amount of work and extra money it would have taken to get it back the way I wanted, just couldn’t justify.

thanks !!! i'm super happy with the set up as i'm more adventure than work truck with mine being retired, but I can still put lumber and plywood without removing the Decked so def awesome for remodeling the house.
