Has anyone figured out yet if the 3 inch lift can be optioned for the SR5 Sport?

I'm sure you can lift the sport without any problems but I think it's lowered from the rest of the trims from factory.

Yep, I just like the color matching on the Sport. So was wondering if dealers would have any issues with the 3 inch lift as an dealer installed option since it was a Sport.

If the only thing you want the sport for is the color matched pieces, it may be cheaper to just buy those pieces separately than pay for the sport package. I can't remember how much the sport package is, but it may be something you can look into.

Yes, I think you can buy the painted door handle and mirror caps. Theres videos on youtube of folks intsalling them. Looks pretty simple. There just plastic covers that go over the handles. Dont think their that expensive either. Dont know about the grill surround tho.

One positive of the painted silver-gray on the new grill surround is that since it is painted and not chrome, you can re-paint it to match and not replace it. It should be a lot cheaper than having to buy a replacement - especially if you can't get it in your colour and you then have to also paint it.

Yeah I've gotta believe this is the way to go. If you can find a good body shop to color match the "chrome" grill surround that will be the cheapest way to go. Most shops can color match very well in my experience.

If I get one of the TRD OR packages this is one of the first items I will have done.

If the rumor of Nov 30 configurator going live is in fact true, I wonder if there's a chance that is when hybrid/Pro pricing will be announced. It would be strange to have a configurator live with nearly half of the options unavailable.

That's my worry. Nothing has gone how it should have so far.

Toyota would be smart to release that information sooner rather than later because I'm sure there are a lot of buyers who are on the fence about the hybrid motor, and full pricing would help make the decision. If the decision that person makes is the non-hybrid motor, they don't have to wait 3 more months to buy one.

Wouldn't be any different from the 2021 configurator that only shows trims that are actually available.

I'm lost. All trims are on the configurator for 2021 I thought.

Maybe it's just a Toyota Canada thing but, for example, you can't build a 2021 Limited or SR5 TRD Sport right now.

Oh wow. Yeah it's normal on my end in TN. The only thing that's not available is certain colors but it still stows them to me.

Go to about 7:50 and the Yota Drivetrain Engineer goes through the changes made to the Lexus LS500 TTV6 version for the Tundra version. Increased cooling, one intercooler instead of two, one throttle body instead of two, etc.

So I was looking a the build sheets and options for SR5 Double cabs that I have seen and with the options I would need like larger fuel tank the towing stuff and power lumbar (medical reasons) It would put that truck in the low to mid 50s range. I mentioned before that I was considering a 3/4 ton due to payload reasons where I get close with the current truck when towing which my towing weights are 5-6k mostly sometimes up to 8k which the Tundra handles fine its just payload is getting too close to comfort in case someone decided to check I would still be legal but its still very close. It looked like they did increase payload to where I could make it work but the thing is I did the build on Chevy and Ram site for their 2500 gas trucks for the equivalent trim to an SR5 and the Ram was 54.2k without rebates and the Chevy was 55k with what I needed. For what I need it doesn't really make sense for I can make it work when I can spend the same or maybe 1-3k more and get either the Chevy or Ram 3/4 ton instead. My 2018 with the options I mentioned above stickered for 40.5k. With the 22 I would look at the exact same trim and options and its literally a 10-12k price jump cause I have to get it in packages with options I don't want.

How much/how often/over what type of terrain are you towing?

I tow maybe once a month normally but with recent surgery the truck has been sitting for a degree or on vacation as I call it as I only use it for normal daily driving means for the time since the wife is in overtime at her job so she has the Subaru. Two to three times a year I take the Camaro to car shows like Camarofest in Kentucky or to spots with fun roads like Deals Gap in North Carolina and Tennesse. During these times its my wife and maybe one other person. With all our stuff that we bring with us and the tongue weight of the trailer we reach 1300-1400 pounds of payload. These long haul trips are the issues of getting too close I am talking about more than the local hauls. If I had a crewmax I would be over the payload rating. It is mostly hilly terrain. Illinios and Indiana might be the flattest on the journey on the Interstates. Missouri has a lot of rolling hills and once I hit the Appalachian Mountains is where the big grades start.

The 2021 Platinum is not at the same level as the 2022.

The 2021 was cheaper because it essentially was the same as in 2014. In 2021 the Platinum was like an XLT F-150.

The 2022 has caught up with the tech as a Platinum F-150, thus matching the price.

The 2021 Platinum is like a decently equipped 2022 SR5 or Limited. It didn't go up much if you go feature to feature.

We were discussing the new capstone trim. They’re saying that the capstone is going to be at a Lexus level. He’s just questioning that the higher cost for the platinum 2022 at that cost is not at the level of a Lexus.

Can someone tell me what the Limited PVM Package consists of or where to find the package info. Read it somewhere (on this thread or somewhere else) but cannot find it now. Thanks in advance
