I have big arms and hands. The top hardware was difficult for me to get to when bolting the plates up.

I happen to have a set of ratcheting wrenches that have been a miracle for me in cases like this. Using one of these, you can capture the top nut in the ratchet wrench and then tighten from the bottom, where you have plenty of room to sweep a socket wrench back and forth.

Yes, on 4x4, the driver’s side 3/8” bolt you kinda feel for. I have to remind myself that I have installed a crap ton of these plates, I gotta remember, the plate virgins popping their cherry will have a hard time

This kinda sucks...I got in on the group buy over the summer for the Screwd security bolts. Below are the sizes I have (copied from the group buy PM). I was waiting on bds plates, which is why I didn't buy over the summer (now I'm waiting on the plates w/ ribs & transfer case access). It now seems I'm screwed with the Screwd bolts. Is that true? Can I still use the below hardware? Thanks for taking a look...

Your answer is throughout the thread. Is it fair that someone should look it up for you?

There's 2500 posts in this thread. At that point it's a needle in a haystack. I've read this thread from the beginning and have been following it for a long time. That said, since I've read every post, I've already read my answer at some point based on your reply, but since my memory sucks....

Regardless, I was asking Tyler, who would know off the top of his head.

I'm going to give a guess of "yes" while waiting for an "official" reply, these bolts are either the same size as the ones with the kit or slightly smaller in diameter but still same length, so they will still fit the holes.

    Valhalla bolts: 1/2x4 (2) - SCREWED: 3/8 x 4", 1/8" smaller diameter but same length
    Valhalla bolts: 3/8x4 (2) - SCREWED: 3/8 x 4", same diameter and length
    Valhalla bolts: 1/2x2 (2) - SCREWED: 3/8 x 2", 1/8" smaller diameter but same length
Valhalla bolts: 5/8x2 (2) - SCREWED: 3/8 x 2", 1/4" smaller diameter but same length and I think I have seen cases where the original bolt had to be used due to not enough room to get the custom bit up on the z-angle. That is a bigger difference but with your fender washers, that should account for any hole size differences.

So many posts in this thread, I wish the google option allowed limiting search to a specific thread (maybe it does?)

I was terrified until I had the plates. Here in Phoenix (and all over Az, we have had a huge amount of thefts)

How bad is the situation in your area and do you park inside?

Rural. Tundra parked behind a 5' fence. Two dogs and the meth heads know me. However, I worry greatly when I need to go to Tulsa.

I was able to get express wife approval due to the cost/headache of losing the cats.

To me that indicates the severity of the need.

Any update on my corrected powder-coated aluminum z brackets? I have been overly patient waiting on them since September.

What types of routine maintenance will these plates interfere with? I searched the thread for "maintenance" and didn't get any hits other than someone else asking the same question. I already have the Pro skid plate.

This is a good question! Assuming you are keeping the PRO plate, only transmission service and transfer case service.

I took my plates off for those services and they never went back on… a customer bought them, I want to make new ones for my truck at some point, but I kinda want to take care of all those who have ordered first

Today I am only working a half day, I am spending the rest checking over my car, giving it a bath and loading it up on the trailer with all the rest of the tools and stuff. I will be mostly off work this weekend as I am going to Auto X both Saturday and Sunday. I will still be able to answer emails and messages, but it may be more delayed than usual. Happy Friday and have a good weekend!

Just placed an order for mine (front and rear). Will be removing my RCI trans skid and keeping the motor skid. Unfortunately my father had his cats stolen last night (2005 Tundra), so I figured it'd only be a matter of time for mine...

    Have fun at the autox!
