Picked up an 02 2wd 5speed with the 3.4 from copart hit in the passenger front. Replaced parts and drives great however when I run it through the car wash and those giant blowers start blowing motor shuts off and battery light comes on. Turn the key and truck starts right up. Strange? Any ideas. I also recreated the wind situation with coasting down a big hill in neutral did the same thing. Filter box was smashed so just put a k&n on as well as cleaned maf and throttle body

    Is the 3.4 the V6?

I'm guessing you probably have a short. Pop the hood. Start the truck. Firmly grab the fuse/relay box in the engine bay, near the battery and shake/slap it.

If nothing happens, grab the battery cables and jiggle those really good, especially the skinny one from the + BATT terminal to that fuse/relay box.

If still nothing, check the grounds in the engine bay area.

If still nothing, get a leaf blower, then blow in specifically targeted areas of the engine bay until you see a repeat, then you'll maybe know where to focus.

Intake was sqaurshed? Did you make sure no bits and pieces got inside the engine?

    Any grounds not connected?

How long ago? How much driving have you done since?

Whenever I disconnect the battery and fiddle with the maf on my truck, it tends to have a hard time coming back to idle. It will die at stop signs or even if I give it a rev and let it drop to idle. Only way out of that is to drive it. I have a 4.7 and not sure if the v6 is drive by wire or by cable, if by wire thats a possible issue.

Otherwise, a short is possible. Maybe wind is blowing the right wire around. Maybe something delicate got messed up in the accident.
