Just got the front windshield tinted. I was a little nervous it was going to be to hard to see. But I think it actually is a little easier durning the day. Looks a lot better too.

I tinted mine as well. It is easier on the eyes during the day, and at night, it reduces the glare of headlights coming at you. Sure, it's harder to see on poorly lit back roads, but I have minimal problems seeing out at night.

I had 70% 3m crystalline applied to the windshield. Reduced the heat in the cab by a noticeable amount.

I've been wanting to do this as well. Only thing that worries me is issues at the inspection office. In Texas we have our registration stickers on the front window so it would be obvious come time for inspection... Anyone in Texas have this done?

Just downloaded a DMV form my optometrist needs to fill out so I can get 70% on windscreen.

That's funny. Here in NJ they only have emissions inspection. Nothing else

I fear that it won't be so funny when it's implemented in an increasing number of states/municipalities.

X2!!! This Texas sun is no joke!

I know 3m has a tint that's clear but repeals heat and UV rays. So that could be an option.

Yes it's Crystaline. Pricier than the regular film but worth it. There's a noticeable difference with the Crystaline compared to the other films. I have 5 percent of another film( suntek i think) on my other car except windshield and it is noticeably hotter in my other car compared to the tundra parked next to each other. Money well speant.

What did it cost to get the windshield done with Crystaline?

Just for the windshield done at a shop in Hesperia was around 150. To have all Windows in Crystaline was well over $700.00. So I settled for the 3m colorgaurd for the side and back. And Crystaline for the windshield

Best idea I've seen on this thread. Good to know your state regs and a doc prescrip is nice.
