I have been talking with @RCIoffroad about the possibility of adding a rear differential skid for the 2007+ Tundra to their line up. They want to know what interest is out there for this before they make the investment of measure-up, prototyping and building the jig.
They currently have rear diff skids for:
    • 05-15 Tacoma
    • 2016+ Tacoma
    • 07-14 FJ Cruiser
    • 03-09 4Runner
    • 10-17 4Runner

Why stop there. The rear differential is the lowest hanging part on your that can easily take on damage. Having one of these would give me the peace of mind that i wont damage the rear diff. The current pricing on their Tacoma, FJ and 4Runner skids is $295. Not sure if this would be the same or not but figure around this price for the Tundra skid.

    KEY FEATURES
    • Protects the low hanging rear differential
    • Clamps directly to axle housing for an easy no drill install
    • Hugs differential tightly, within 1/4" for minimal loss in ground clearance.
    • Black powder coated for rust resistant, durable and high quality finish
    • Design incorporates drain holes for water and dirt to escape, as well as allow full access to the differential drain plug
    • Installs in minutes
    • All hardware and installation instructions provided
    • Direct bolt on addition to existing factory attachment points, no drilling required
*Extra powder coat options available upon request, additional fees apply

    PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
    • Material: 3/16” Steel
    • Weight: Steel 18lbs
    • Finish: Heavy Duty Black Powder Coat

If this moves forward i would be glad to offer up my truck for measure-up and fitment.

I would love one. $$ keeps holding me back on everything on my list :(
But if available I would totally get one. Transfer case skid is on my list right now.

I like the idea of this and anything that is an easy to install job.
How low profile is this? Does it sit up right against the diff?

The pictures look pretty good but just though to ask.

According to their key features on the website for their other skids it says "Hugs differential tightly, within 1/4" for minimal loss in ground clearance."
This is really nothing at all so it is very tight up to it.

One available for the Tundra would also make it easier for me to than purchase one for the wife's 4Runner, as bundling services is always key for me.

I would. Not sure a Tundra really needs them, but lower control arm skids would be neat to have also.

It actually doesn't really need them for slow speed crawling. I have dragged my diff plenty of times without problems. Even with the full weight of the rear end. But if you are going fast and hit a rock you weren't paying attention to a skid would certainly help.

If your dead set on getting one if they are made and the price is the same or close to what the others then mark a yes.
If you are interested in possibly getting one but may decide not to then mark a maybe.
