It doesn’t change horsepower. It’s a throttle controller.

Fact of the day: a horse has about 15 horsepower.

You can double that by putting stickers on its rear.

Specifically it just increases actual throttle response you get from a given level of partial throttle input (via the pedal).
It shouldn't change a full throttle Dyno graph in any way.

Just installed it this weekend and did my 1st test run with ECO to the store then did SPort + 3 on way home and I banged my head against the head rest the first time I hit the gas in the parking lot, HOLY FREAKING CRAP takes the Tundra from having gumption to full on sports car feels I LOVE IT , can't wait to take a road trip and see what mileage I get long distance in ECO

Don't get too excited. I had minimal increase to mpg on a tank when using eco. Was not worth the lack of throttle response. I've done a city driving tank and a road trip tank and saw maybe 1-2 mpg increase.

Why not just push the tow/haul button instead of spending money on this gadget?

Tow haul is probably this dohickey on medium. It has 4 modes and each mode has 9 settings. Sport+ on plus4 setting will light up the tires through an intersection if you keep on the pedal. It also pulls on the freeway much more aggressively. Don't get me wrong, beast mode Is definitely fun but this gets a little more umph out of the Tundra.

So does this basically give that throttle-by-cable, need it got it, feel as opposed to that throttle-by-wire, the computer has to think about it for what seems like an eternity before I get anything out, feel?

Edit: Yeah never mind. The website said, just about verbatim, what I needed it to say. Time for hyperactive hyperdrive.

The response is amazing from my use of it so far. IN Eco it was def throttled down and slow acceleration, in Sport + WOAH MAMA take off !!!!! and in City it made it feel way smoother than the OEM throttling, nice pick up and smooth acceleration. Mine's a 2021 Tundra Crewmax i've only had for like 5 or 6 days

It’s all fun and games until it puts your truck in limp mode while merging on the interstate as a result of the module robbing power from the throttle position sensor.

Updated version reverts back to stock if an error occurs. There is dedicated wiring that removes the pedal commander from the circuit if it loses power.

I meant a gentleman this past weekend and he had put a turbocharger on his 4door Camry. Said he gets 410 HP to the tires, everything was stock except the turbo and the program he wrote for it. He also has a Supercharged Tundra running a Harrop and a program he wrote for that also. They are having trouble getting chips but claims with his program he can produce 35 more pounds of torque and 30 more HP by just pushing a couple buttons and change it back to stock just as simple and quick. I am going to check this out when I get other things done and see what this is about being that he is so close. D3 Performance out of the Houston area.

My bullydog gt tuned the Tundra but I don't think I gave me that much of a boost. I'd be interested to see what his actually does.

Lots of hype in the Harrop supercharged thread about D3 lately.

I like my pedal commander. It may not "make" more HP from the engine but it certainly allows one to extract it more efficiently. Think of the factory Tundra setup as severely neutered - this gadget puts it back to stock. I couldn't live without it, the Tundra is brought back to life! (I also have the automatic traction-control-disabler installed, aka 'Beast Mode')
