What a great thread - love seeing that people have things that bring them joy.

Aside from the obvious wife, kid, and doggos answers:

1.) A good workout. I hate getting started but always feel 10/10 afterwards.
2.) Cleaning - I realized I find a lot of peace in cleaning - the house, the cars, my workstation, etc.
3.) Cooking - my wife is a phenomenal cook but I get a ton of satisfaction in putting together a meal people enjoy.
4.) Watching my 2 year old daughter play nicely with her cousins and hearing her say things like “thank you”.
5.) Freshly cut lines in my grass.
6.) Listening to music loud while driving with the windows open at sunset

Finding things for unusually low prices. I've had my eye on a cheaper Guild acoustic for a while, it sells for anywhere between $430 and $525. I spotted it online at some lesser known music shop for $345 and placed an order.

Now to tell my wife... hmm.

If she doesn't see the box I'm in the clear!

She got a pretty damn expensive purse recently, maybe her most expensive. I have room to tell her I spent $350 on a guitar I've wanted all year. Besides I have one more guitar that I'm on the wait list for and once thats here I won't buy others. (Maybe)

This forum does! Good people, good info, and holy crap are we laid back compared to some! I was looking around as a guest on a forum for the motorcycle I'm interested in, and for kicks I decided to read their rules.:eek2::boom: No fun at all! Makes me appreciate how relaxed this forum, its mods, and its members are.

Anyone who thinks the rules on Tundras.com are too strict should go check out the rules on the CB500X.com forum.

I agree 100%, I joined a motorcycle forum around the same time that I joined T.C.
I introduced myself properly, and not even a hello now fuck off from them assholes or anything.

Poked around a bit and all I could find was the marketplace rules. None of the first gen guys would last very long there, I suspect.

The rules over there are so strict I'd be banned within a week.

Highlighted some (and this image isn't even a third of their rules) that would cause issues. Stuff like no sarcasm, no guns, can't mention other sites or encourage others to view other sites. That forum sounds like a damn cult. Oh yeah, no swearing either, and not even if you bleep it with characters.

Nope. Because if their ban works like the one here, you can't even view the site after a ban, and I am totally ok lurking and getting info. You can join and tell them that if you want.

Right? We all poke fun, throw out sarcasm, BS about guns, etc. Couple that with the fact that me mentioning another forum would be grounds for a ban.... Yeah, I'll just lurk for info. It doesn't sound like a forum I want to participate in.

5 beers in, playing with the dogs with my back yard lit and all the windows open on an unusually warm night, blasting the Get Your Yayas Out album. That's a good evening.

Its the first time I listened to this album. My wife and I were surprised B. B. King and Tina Turner showed up for a few songs. Tina sounded damn good.
