2 prototypes are here and ready for me to tinker with... I was just at SEMA all this past week so I am a little (lot) behind. Customer service/messages backlog is taking priority this weekend over tinkering.

Okay. Interesting. Well as set of resistors for $20 should be a quick and easy fix!
I'm starting to think the same thing... Now you can see why I didn't just open launch these to the world right away, and kept it to just Tundras.com so that you guys could help get in early, help me vet out issues that arose as I wasn't sure how each setup would react!

So what I'm hearing is that Toyota implemented so many changes from 2014-2021 that not all products work the same in all the Tundras. I guess all the people saying the Tundra is old and never got any updates can go suck an egg!

I think one of the big changes on 2018+ is that the flasher module is baked into the ECU instead of a physical relay, so it’s a little less tolerant of changes in resistance. Of course I’m pulling some of this out of my ass and might not be fully true, but I think I read that somewhere on the internet.

2018 bone stock with stock LED headlights. Just installed them. No hyper flashing. Now, it doesn't looks like I have 2 broken bulbs. Nice and bright brake light.and....I just like how they looks now with both, upper and lower lighting up. It just looks proper.

Now, having said that.....I wish turning light is just a bit more brighter. It's not bad in any means. I would want little more "pop".

Because of that reason above...other great option as mentioned by someone else before, leave the reverse as only reverse and use both upper and lower as turn signal and brake light combo. Now, that's bright.

Just my opinion... yours will vary.

Its just funny that my 2018 with halogen headlights is hyperflashing while your stock 2018 with led headlights isn't. Glad yours are working well.

Yeah, maybe I got lucky. I love my setup. I didn't want aftermarket tail lights and wasn't fully satisfied with stock and this fixes all that.

The extreme switchback would require a different harness. He wouldn't be able to just upgrade to the extreme bulb.

Anyone got any other videos with this kit installed? Daytime or how the amber turn signal looks with brake lights?

Looks good! Do the brake lights kinda wash out the blinker with them being brighter?

The extremes would work for these, as the driver is external and does the adapting. On the input side it has the same 3 prong connection plus 2 separate wires. You don’t have to use those 2 wires though as they are just to drive a dimmer version of the amber and white. Though it would be kind of cool to hook up the dimmer white to the cargo light or something? Than you would have some light back there while loading the bed, but not so bright. And I am sure @memario1214 would happily sell a set of the extremes….

I have not changed my bulbs, so to my knowledge they are not LEDs

    Thank you..
If you didn't change them then they aren't LED.

I have LED headlights (in my 2014) that I put LED turn signal/DRL bulbs in.
I have VLED resistors that prevent front and rear LED turn signal bulbs from hyperflash mounted behind the tail lights.
I'm just trying to figure out if I want to keep those resistors, or have @memario1214 include them in the harness when I buy his harness next month..

His resistor isn't built into the harness. If you already have them, I don't think you would need his. Message him which resistor you have and he will let you know if it will work or if it will need to be upgraded to what he recommends

Edit: here's a posts where he kinda addresses your question

    A bunch
From @memario1214 we don't need them if we have resistors for front LED's, but this sounds like it's still to be tested to confirm. I will be installing mine next week once I'm home from work and can confirm it then. Mine are mounted behind the headlights though if that makes a difference.

The resistors that come with the new kits have different connectors than the older Vleds resistors. You are getting just his harness by itself?

Sorry for being sparse this week everyone! Was at SEMA all last week, and have been tackling family stuff since I’ve been back!

I’ll be back in the saddle tomorrow, and will address PMs, questions in this thread, etc. Feel free to keep chattering, but I just wanted you all to know that I wasn’t ignoring you, and also that you won’t get you answered till tomorrow. :)
