HUD is the 12” display behind the steering wheel right?

we need a “differences between the sr5 and limited” thread I can’t see any reason to step up to the limited. It seems the things it has that you can’t get on the sr5 are minimal.

HUD is head up display where an image of speedo info, etc is projected on the windshield in front of the driver. The 12 inch screen refers to the digital speedo cluster. You can get both or one without the other.

No, Sir. The HUD is the info projected onto the windscreen.

After endless research, I have concluded a loaded SR5 is the best package for content and value.

My current truck has a sunroof. I think I used it once and now never use it.

Where is this? From the product sheet I've seen it really doesn't go into full detail.

If you really need supplemental rear air for load leveling, compensating for trailer tongue weight, tongue weight plus bed cargo (like a giant pumpkin), Firestones are great.

Tailgate release bump switch (located in driver's-side taillight)
Power tilt/slide moonroof with sliding sunshade (DC)
Power tilt/slide panoramic roof with power sunshade (CM)
Heated power sideview mirrors with integrated LED turn signals (not sure about this one the spec sheet contradicts itself)
14-in. Touchscreen Audio Multimedia with 12 Speaker JBL® Premium Audio System (only the JBL is not available, the 14" screen is available)
Qi-compatible vertical wireless smartphone charging with charge indicator light
12.3-in. digital meter with selectable gauge display screens and fuel economy, driver assist, vehicle/trip information, and warning messages (Hybrid only)
Power vertical rear window with defogger and privacy glass

    Ventilated front seats
Illuminated center console storage bin and glove box
Soft-touch instrument panel, center console and door surfaces
Leather shift knob (But you can get the TRD leather Shift knob)
    5 USB ports (SR5 gets 3)
Electronic locking fuel door (Hybrid only)

Differences between the BASE Limited and the BASE SR5 no packages added

    Everything above +
14-in. Touchscreen Audio Multimedia with 6/9* Speaker Audio System *Double Cab: 6-Speakers, CrewMax: 9-Speakers (Available as Stand Alone option)
Dual zone automatic climate control with air filtration and individual temperature settings for driver and front passenger (Available in SR5 Premium Package or TRDOR or Sport Premium Package)

For a Crew Max - 4x4 - 6.5ft Bed --- Fully Loaded Limited Model vs a Fully Loaded SR5 Model there is only a a little more than $1000 diff. Limited is the clear choice here. Still don't understand why the Platinum model cannot get the TRD Off road package. Maybe it is exclusively for Pavement warriors. What do you think the Hybrid package will cost about $3000?

You can’t get a whole window roll down in the sr5?

That's an impressive kit. For the front anyway, very comprehensive. Still have to wonder if that's the installed price, because installing new CV shafts is usually $400 labor by itself, then you have new UCA install, tierods, brakelines.

The beauty of TRD factory lifts is they think of everything. They include the correct bumpstops, brakelines, etc to make it a true plug-n-play. You go with ICON or some such you get shocks, coils, UCA, that's it, people usually don't think about the details like their brakelines may be overstretched.

SR5 Premium Package—SofTex®- trimmed seats, 8-way poweradjustable heated front seats with 2- way power lumbar, dual zone automatic climate control, and colorkeyed outer door handles
TRD SPORT PACKAGE: 20-inch TRD wheels, TRD grille, TRD lowered sport suspension, TRD leather shift knob

I would be willing to bet that the Prem Sport Package is both packages combined. Prem Sport Package is $30 less than both packages added seperatly.

JBL and Power Running Boards are not available on an SR5. Power running boards are not available until you get up to the Platinum. Power Folding mirrors I'm not sure about.

The Power Folding and extending tow mirrors say they are an option on the spec sheet but on another part it says its not so I'm unsure. The bed lights say they are available in a package but I'm unsure which package.

I assume heated mirrors have to be available on the SR5 in some fashion because I can't see them not being available in Canada, at the very least.

No sliding rear window in the SR5 would be a big miss if true.

    Meh to everything else.

There is a Power horizontal rear window (small window slides sideways) for the SR and SR5 and DC's but I've heard there is not enough room for the full vertical power rear window in the DC's and not available in SR or SR5 CM. Yes the SR and SR5 have Power heated side mirrors just not sure if they are power folding.

That's what the spec sheet has said but we know it has errors and, frankly, I think Toyota would be stupid to take it away in the interest of pushing people into the Limited.

My bad on the mirrors. Must have misread.

I'm familiar with the challenges on the roll down rear window in the DC but the current CM SR5 has it so taking it away for 2022 is a real kick in the nuts.

ya if that’s the case EPIC fail, the roll down window has to be on all crewmax trucks minimum

I think the spec sheet is wrong on the vertical rear window. It should be in sr5 and up crewmax trucks. I remember in some of the early videos when they talked to toyota reps they mentioned it would not be in the SR but it would be in SR5 and up crewmax. I have also seen recent 22 build sheets for sr5 with vertical rear window.

Not in the slightest. I am convinced Toyota is fully aware that their reputation is on the line.

I have no doubt these engines have been brutally tested.

no but I would much rather have had a 6.2 iforce V8, I’m still disappointed in that

I’m not sure what I’m going to do at this point , I like some things about the truck but I have some sticker shock in the platinum at the moment and also that 5 inches extra is a problem for the garage
