Holy cow! I wasn't ready for folks to be getting them already as I am still working on a little (informal for now) instruction guide! Since everything was assembled already hopefully it was pretty self-explanatory!

    Looking good!
Yessir! Only one way to find out!

    Finally great looking taillights
I was trying to figure out a way to do this type of set up with my taillights…… now that it’s going into production I am very interested in placing a order but looks like you don’t ship to your neighbour's to the North ….is there another option !!

Can you help with confirming where the bulbs need to go.
Based on the label on the boxes I'm assuming this is how they go in. Help me out if I'm wrong.
The (V6_BULB_WA_5K) is the switchback for the turn, the (V6_BULB_921_S_R) is the Extreme so should be the upper, and the (V6_BULB_R) is the red V6 so its the lower. Right?

I did process of elimination. The top bulb is the smallest housing of the three. Then I look at the remaining two and could see where the yellow and white LED went in the middle. This leaves only one option for the bottom. This picture should help.

Thanks. I haven't pulled my taillight off yet. Was trying to get my ducks in a row first. I did like your pictures and used them to see how the harnesses were run.

Sort into two piles, one for each side, and then you should be in good shape!

    It’s a pretty quick process.

I would suggest a dab of dielectric grease on all of the plugs while you have them all out. I apply to the female connectors on most all exterior plugs. Just my .01

I've replaced my passenger tail light so know it isn't too bad. I was just on 3 hours sleep over 2 days and it was slightly raining so decided against attempting this last night. Maybe tonight! Super excited for these

    Hello everyone!

I apologize for not being here as we have been at SEMA all week, and I really thought I would have more time to sit and be on the computer for at least little spurts, but that simply isn't happening! We've walked 10+ miles each of the last 3 days, my feet hurt, and my voice is starting to get a little hoarse too . Still haven't seen it all...

Either way - I know that many of you are getting HotTails in hand. I will have a fully hashed out set of instructions for those who purchase down the road, but I will give a quick and dirty description for those of you who are getting them nice and early now!

    What's in the Box:
    • 6 VLEDS bulbs in total
      • These bulbs have all been assembled by me with the right collars and gaskets to ease installation. Due to the size differences between each bulb after assembly it should be pretty straightforward as to which bulb goes in which hole as they are all different.
    • 2 sets of HotTails harnesses
      • Harnesses are either rubber banded or zip-tied together in a "per side" arrangement. So one "bundle" for the driver's side, and one bundle for the passengers.
    Install:
    • Pulling taillight is via a T30 Torx bit and a little bit of muscle. Open tailgate and take the 2 T30 Torx bolts out from the inside of each taillight. Pull the taillight housing away from the vehicle to the SIDE. Tundra locking tabs go in from the sides so you'll need to pull the housing out to the side, and not the back of the truck.
    • Unplug all OEM plugs from the back of the existing bulbs in the vehicle. I recommend pulling the plugs off before pulling out the bulbs as it's just a little easier that way.
    • Remove all OEM bulbs by turning them 90 degrees to the left and then pulling them straight out.
    • VLEDS Bulbs
      • 921 Bulb goes in the top pocket of the taillight housing and is simply push in and turn 90 degrees. It will lock into place.
        • I included the other gasket options and the allen wrench in case you feel as though you need a different gasket, but you shouldn't.
      • Switchback bulb goes into the center section and turns 90 degrees locking into place.
      • V6 Triton Red bulb goes into the bottom section and turns 90ish degrees. It will require a little bit of force to push down and begin turning. This bulb WILL NOT lock into place. If you keep turning it will drop into the next opening and become loose again. I recommend turning it a little bit to where it is locked in there, turn the housing around, and look where the screw heads are seated. You'll want the screw heads to sit halfway across the little plastic tabs in the housing.
    • HotTails Harnesses
      • Since these are built to be plug-and-play there is only one way to install them on the plugs side. They are labelled to guide you to the proper way to install them on the bulb side as well. The harness with the 2 leads goes to the top and bottom bulb, and the harness with the single lead goes to the switchback in the middle.

Hope this helps in the short term! We'll be travelling back tomorrow so it'll be intermittent availability, but I'll be lurking around I am sure. We'll chat soon, and can't wait to see more installed pics!

Update on my hot tails @memario1214. I did not have hyper flash before but I had it occur today. I was parallel parking the truck so in reverse with my blinker on and had hyper flash. Will a resistor solve this issue?

2021 Limited with the TRD OR package (LED headlights).

@memario1214 What are the chances of getting just a set of harnesses? Asking for a friend who hasn't joined the forum yet. He does have the bulbs already and ordered the 921.

So I have an SR5, stock headlights. Installed passenger bulbs and I'm getting hyperflash. Thoughts or should I install the driver side bulbs?

You can install them. You will just have the hyperflash until you install the resistors.

Dang these trucks are finicky! I got your PM too. We'll get you some resistors.

Are you getting hyperflash all of the time, or just sometimes?

Yes they are. They are very sensitive to electrical components and wiring being touched and will blow fuses in a heartbeat lol. The 2nd generation was no issue at all. Now hook me up with a set of harnesses please. :D

I had intermittent hyper flash on one side when I put LEDs in the front turns. Seems like the easiest answer is to just add resistors to all, lol.
