I believe it’s dealer installed and guaranteed they wouldn’t care which appearance package you picked.

Thanks for the reply, I'm assuming youre right. Does anyone beleive the trd 3" lift ride quality will be any better than say an after market suspension lift?

Where do I find these 4’9” service techs so that I never need to adjust my seat? I’m 4’10” in flats.

Anyone have any idea how the stereo will sound on the limited? My 21 Tundras sound system was so bad my wife’s Rogue sounded way better.

I suspect if you’re an audiophile you will not be impressed.

If you’re a cave man with hearing damage from too much time behind and around boom sticks and other loud concussive stuff; who also likes angry heavy metal and Motörhead… the “upgraded” JBL unit might be good enough. So for me, probably good enough.

If you’re a sophisticated music enthusiast who likes things other than angry heavy metal and Motörhead, the upgraded JBL may not be perfect but will hopefully be serviceable.

If you are an enthusiast for generic pop music or country pop music, both posing as real music; the upgraded JBL will be great because your taste in music is so bad that even contemplating it makes me ill.

An SR5 or Limited with the OR package would be sweet and is not priced bad AT ALL. I'll mostly likely wind up in one at some point down the road. I'm looking forward to hearing all of your reactions, thoughts, opinions, etc on the 3rd gen and how it feels once a bunch of you get your butts in the seats.

For those of you who are chomping at the bit to get a new Tundra ASAP, may the odds be ever in your favor!

I am only interested in a 4x4 6.5ft bed preferably with TRD off road pkg. Here is the pricing I transferred to a excel Sheet for easy configuration. I am sure there are some rule restrictions for the various packages but here you go...

The other trucks (Fully Loaded) I would get if the TRD Pro version is 80K as everyone is speculating.

This would be my route probably if the sport came with all the off road came with. Sure is the best looking of the bunch.

You guys are thinking about this all the wrong way for the 3rd gen release.....

It is sort of like Santa Clause. You ask him or tell him what you want. Once Christmas rolls around and the packages arrive under the tree, you are not sure what you got or if you got everything you want until you open the presents up.

The Tundra is the same way. You order it and when it comes in, you have no clue what the price is, what color it is going to be, what features you are really going to get. Pretty fun and pretty genius by Toyota if you ask me....:D

This might of already been covered but does anyone know

    Payload for the different Trims

    SR5 =
    LIMITED =
    PLATINUM/1794 =

does the TRD OR package affect payload?

will the hybrid (battery) version also affect payload , if so by how much?

    can you order a platinum/1794 without a sunroof ?

Softex is definitely an option, yes.

To what I can see it comes with the TRD sport or off road premium packages.

I loved the softex in my 4runner as well. I might have cleaned and treated them once in the 50k I had it and they looked brand new when I traded.
I regularly drug my pistol grip across the seat when I'd forget to unholster before hopping in, drug the buckles of my fall harness across them all deer season, and covered them in mud, dirt and sweat from mountain biking.
The real leather seats I had before that I cleaned and treated almost weekly and they looked like garbage.

Toyota needs to rename the Limited to SR5+ Not much more luxury or limited than a packages SR5

Hmm. Okay, the build sheet someone posted a page ago has an sr5 with TRD off road but didn't have softex so I wasn't sure.

There are two levels of TRD off road or sport, the regular and premium package.

    The premium has the Softex.

It also looks like the premium package is standalone. So you should be able to get Softex if TRD isn't your thing.

Gotcha. What do you get with the premium over the base TRD package?

The 22 SR5 is definitely more of premium trim now.

Youtube car reviewers will still call it a base model.

Thanks, for some reason I missed the softex part when I read through some other descriptions. Anyone know if HUD is an option for the SR5? I doubt it. Also can you get moonroof or pano with SR5?

HUD and a moonroof/pano are definitely not an option on the SR5.
