I too am cross shopping the f250 and those numbers don't compare well.

May end up with the Ferd (God help me) since i can get a tricked out Lariat with Tremor package for about $62k and finding a Toyota dealer that will even just charge sticker is near impossible. And that's on the '21 Tundra!

And you couldn't pay me enough to tolerate that softex crap if it's what they have in the 4runner. Looks and feels gross.

I guess I could just put a blower on my 17 and run that for another 150,000.

Did some math base price + delivery and processing + advanced package + bedliner (seems standard), electric running boards
Platinum long bed 4x4 with all options and delivery and processing- $65,589
1794 long bed 44 with all options (no trd offroad)- $66,289

Hybrid better come in around $2-2.5k on these trucks or they are out of the market. No info on how much the TRD package is on 1794, looks to be low $2k for the SR5 and $3,400 on the limited

It's like a bunch of people on here think Toyota just made the same truck and jacked up the price. For years people have complained about Tundra's lack of features comparable to other trucks, now Toyota has made a truck with comparable features and everyone's bitching about the comparable price. Did these people really think Toyota was going to continue to undercut the competition on price like they did with a 14 year old model?

Mine has continued to go up in price with each phone call and visit to the dealership. 219 platinum with 44k miles, started at $46k with some minor damage. My detailer is fixing said damage next week, and without it the dealership is saying $49-50k if I can get it to them this month. I paid $49k for the truck 2 years ago. Going to flip it back to stock next week and sell it to the highest bidder (carvana, Vroom, Carmax and dealers are all throwing crazy high offers out). Luckily I have a cement gray limited tundra at my disposal for few months to drive. Aftermarket gear will be sold for an additional $13-15k for a big profit and I'll get into a new tundra for less than I owe on the current one. This + increased fuel economy and its a no brainer.

The speculation on pricing so far is very interesting, if and when vehicles return to MSRP price or better (dealer/manufacturer discount pricing) it's going to be very hard to justify a higher trim level Tundra compared to the Raptor when features are comparable. Either way the current market is making it clear my 2019 almost paid for Tundra will be sticking around for awhile.

Orrrr Toyota did what my company did for F21- adjust pricing up and future proof it, while other manufacturers have been slowly going up and are going to steadily do so. I bet we see increases across the range of trucks/ vehicles next year that make the tundra look very appealing.

FYI also this dealer ADM stuff, where do you live? Both dealers in my town are MSRP ONLY, one is $2k off if you finance through Toyota.

Based on some of the comments I have made about the 22 tundra it might seem like I am trashing the truck and I don’t want people to think it’s a bad truck. I have a friend who drove it and provided good feedback on it. My approach on this truck is that it does not provide that wow factor for me to justify the extra cost compared to the 21, I truly don’t think they are overpriced for this market, I just think it does not make any sense to jump on this train for a few years. I’m not sure why someone would walk away from a proven truck and get into something that could potentially be a flop. For this kind of money peoples options have drastically opened up, I can think of 4 trucks that I would purchase prior to this truck and maybe save money. I honestly don’t think they did enough to capture more of the market, if anything they stepped back and might have negatively affected peoples opinion on this Toyota product. This might still be a very reliable product, I just think 3-4 years from now would be a good time to jump on.

I've been thinking if this lately, is there any concern on engine life with a supercharger on the 5.7? I think I read a few post of boosted motors having issues.

I think that depends on how spirited you want to drive it but from what I gather if you maintain your truck and drive responsibly it won’t shorten the life of the engine.

It's a RAM. They'll knock $20K off the price if you just say "please" and "thank you". Ford and GM will knock $10K - $15K off pretty easily too.

The performance and towing numbers look good. I do not like that giant mouth on the front end, but that seems to be the look Toyota has been going towards the past few years. Of course the price is painful, but I don't know what competitive trucks are priced at, so it may be the new normal. The main thing that disappoints me is that the mpg is not significantly better than the 5.7 V8 models from the previous generation.

I actually think he was quoting 2wd and 5.5 ft. Bed for all models and no freight charge of $1,700.

Add 4x4 and that is about $3k which puts it in line with other pricing.
