This is the new official 2022 3rd Gen information thread.

Post your videos, order information, towing tests, accessories, release dates, who ordered one and expected delivery date and pricing if available.

What his thread is not for is online keyboard warriors, name calling and insults, acting sophomoric, etc. If you don't like the new Tundra...cool. We don't need 600 of the same posts bashing the truck. In the past few months we have had a huge increase in memberships for the site. We will have a lot of questions and opinions and need to be the kind of members that are welcoming, informative, and give good advice. As badass as the Tundras are, it might not be the right truck for everyone. Not everyone will choose to buy a 3rd gen Tundra. Wouldn't it be nice to see the reviews first hand of what they like/dislike on a different brand? We have had several members switch to another make/model truck and are 100% happy. We also have several members that couldn't get back into a Tundra fast enough.

In the last 2022 Tundra thread, we have had to bounce more members than in any other thread in quite some time. Let's not repeat that trend please. If you do, a reply ban will be issued and that will be that.

From what I gather (and feel free to add whatever else you know) they have 51 new and 115 in total (meaning 64 previously available ones):

    NEW
    • 3” factory lift
    • Swing out bed boxes
    • Retractable running boards
    • Auto retractable bed step (before only manual bed step available)
    • Wheel options

    PREVIOUSLY AVAILABLE
    • Bed mat
    • Predator tubes
    • Chrome step tubes
    • Aluminum step tubes
    • Running boards
    • Upgraded exhaust tip
    • Maybe upgraded exhaust
    • Probably a tonneau cover
    • Folding tonneau cover
    • Their comfort package (cabin heater, trickle charger) and all the iterations of that
    • Engine block
    • Engine block cables in various lengths
    • Bed extender
    • Locking spare tire nut
    • Bed divider
    • Skid plate
    • TRD air intake
    • K&N air filter
    • Paint protection
    • Hood deflector
    • Sill protectors
    • Bed cleats
    • Dash cam
    • Probably some chromed and blacked out badging.
    • Spray in bed liner (mentioned in the journalist talk)
    • Probably a bunch of bed rail accessories (hooks, bike attachment) other than cleats
    • Ball mounts with various sizes
    • Door edge guard
    • Wheel locks
    • All weather mats
    • Mud guards
    • Cargo box
    • Console safe
    • Emergency kit
    • First aid kit
    • Alarm system
    • Tablet holder
    • Sway bar
    • Shocks
    • Performance Oil filter
    • TRD cap
The new items I’ve either observed, heard, and/or saw on their media powerpoints. The previous stuff are things they offer now and probably will offer again.

Also notice Toyota has rock sliders for the 4Runner and Tacoma now. Hopefully they make those available for the new Tundra.

I saw that in one YouTube video where there was a giant slid plate running down the length of the underbody. I think it was on a TRD 1794 version. I’ll see if I can’t find it and post it.
Is it standard on the Tacoma and 4Runner?

I wanted to start a thread on available accessories for the 2022 Tundra. It seems like there are a lot of new and old accessories that Toyota will offer. The one that stands out to me the most is the available 3” dealer installed lift. Not much information and hardly any pictures that I’ve seen floating around the web about this yet.. here is a picture from a video that I found and it looks SWEET! Even looks like they put different wheel and tire package on it which I’m curious as to what wheels and tires they will suggest or options they will give people when they get the lift. Maybe the dealer will allow you to pick which wheels you’d want and wrap them with whatever rubbers you’d like also. Here is a link to the video as well from YouTube and if you skip ahead to about 19:45 minutes in you’ll see it there

Got to ride in a 2022 at the NHRA drags in Vegas.. It was towing the people mover around the parking lots… Motor was super quiet couldn’t hear it inside the truck..

I plan on buying TRD Pro in white once available locally. I’m excited about the dealer installed lift. By the timing of availability of the pro and the lift next summer looks like my purchase target will still be about 8-9 months out.

From what it reads like the front is new suspension but rear sounds like just shocks and block for original coils.

It was super nice.. 1784 trim.. asked the driver it was the hybrid motor, but he didn’t know.. I couldn’t tell we topped out at 15 mph lol..

on a separate ride I was right behind the truck in the trailer.. almost no engine sound from 0 to 15.. definitely not a V8…

ya, lets see when the real pricing is release, but shit, if thats correct no thanks toyota.

that would make the hybrid hit 70K I bet.

my guess, is that is with some sort of market adjustment and its more likely 59K plus 5K for the dealer BS

Im hoping thats an error as thats the truck I was interested in.

I wanted something besides the same grey this time but according to that thing the platinum gets only a few colors.

I'm wondering if dealer are just punching the number pad on their keyboard randomly and calling it MSRP since Toyota hasn't released anything yet (that we know of).

A year ago and speculation? We all knew the 22 would bring huge upgrades in tech and presentation. We all make mistakes. Dude made a mistake. Luckily, this resale market or his personal finances make that a wash. Good for y'all
