thanks! I agree. Took me a while to decide on wheels. Scs was my original choice but since it seems like they make 5 sets per month I started looking elsewhere. I’m happy with the results

The simplest but kinda half ass way would be figuring out which wire on the clock harness controls the dimmer circuit for just the clock and cutting it or wiring it to a switch.

Had a decent chunk of time today so worked through my list.
    • Started by taking off the passenger side mirror to fix the play. Just like the driver's side, I put a small washer to allow the torx to tighten back up better when it was re-assembled. A couple drops of super glue to keep the washer from moving around while it was being reassembled.
    • Cleaned up my TPMS bypass wiring so you can't see it when the glove box is open. It's hidden well now. Also double sided foam taped the TPMS box to one of the other plastic boxes in the cavity (previously was duct taped). I think this was causing one of my rattles.
    • Went through the arduous and tedious task of removing the wood grain trim from the HVAC/radio bezel and the three remaining driver side switch bezels. Heat gun. Remove plastic piece. Goo gone. Heat gun. Remove adhesive. Goo gone. Heat gun. Remove residue. Clean everything up with alcohol after. It came out really nice however and was worth the labor.
    • While I was doing that, I added LEDs to the HVAC/radio bezel. 194s and 74s to replace the green-gelled OEMs. I didn't have enough extra 194s, so I pulled them from the door and ordered another 10 that will be here Tuesday.
    • Same procedure for the switch bezels. Same tedious work. They used a different adhesive on the ash tray cover. The heat gun doesn't work with that so well. That is more easily removed with soap and very hot water. Heating up the glue and rolling it off the surface slowly. Also the door switch trim pieces are painted. Don't use acetone. Ask me how I know. Alcohol works ok. Goo Gone works ok. Also all of my switch assemblies were gross. Good time to clean up everything.
Deciding if I should paint the bezels or wrap them satin black to match the rest of the trim? I think so. There is still too much different grays going on at the door. Also thinking of getting black Weathertech mats all around to darken up the interior a bit more. All and all a productive day. Got everything reassembled, everything back working again. Driveway solo stove fire to close out the weekend. Some pictures:

Messed with the radio a bit more today. I’m stumped. Until I get ahold of someone at corporate I know the anytime unit is working properly, the receiver is getting reverse signal, but no image. The screen just stays on the Home Screen. So until I can access the debug menu (that isn’t listed on how you get to for this radio on TIS) I can’t do much.

Multiple people have upgraded 2017 Toyota 86s and had operational backup cameras. So it’s capable. But I just can’t figure out how.

Damn man. Do y'all not have any hunters around there? There seems to be an unusually high number of deer there.

Plenty of hunters here. It's just a family curse. I inherited it, but I know my truck, and how how use all my lights.

No pictures sent in yet, but he said the brush guard was pushed in, and a fog light was broken. Thinks he can pull it out for me...

I replaced my driver's window motor a few weeks ago the auto up didn't work work. It would roll up, then bump back down. I tried resetting it with the roll it down and hold the button for 5 seconds, roll it up and hold it for 5 seconds, but that didn't work. So I took off the motor and ran it both ways for 10 seconds, then tried resetting it still no dice.

Anyone know the correct way to reset the auto up down switch?

Roll down, hold for 5 seconds, roll up hold for 5 seconds. Hold timer starts when windows fully down and fully up

Uh. Your dad is, like, the last person on earth I'd ever loan a vehicle to. I've missed my fair share of Bambi and Ronno over the years, but only because I watch the damn road like a hawk and apply high beams, horn liberally.

Yeah, uh, no thanks. I'd be pissed. Even if it's the dude whose swimmers put me on this planet. Wouldn't grate me so bad if this hadn't happened multiple times in recent history. It's one thing if someone does it with their shit. When they borrow your shit and do it though.

Oh. Totally forgot to post what I got done over the weekend. Other than helping another 1st Gen'er out with some stuff.

Before I realized it was only for 2WD trucks, I checked my truck for TSB-0067-09 (attached). When I noticed things looked a little different, that's when I noticed "2WD" at the top.

While I was under there, I wiped in some grease sling, then looked around at stuff. Meant to snap pics of front suspension so I could zoom in (I've can't see for shit close-up) to see if anything was torn up. These were the only pics that turned out, head lamp was too bright with new batteries I guess. Meh.

Took out the Tundra for little one on one time and found some Gravel road, mud puddles, and Mushrooms today on Mt Hood. Unfortunately the forecast changed and got pissed on by rain whole time. Hopefully can get back out if we get few nicer days after this storm.

Eh, even the best of drivers can hit deer.

I had one hit me in my old Jeep and never saw it. Face hit the fender, butt hit the door, and apparently kept running.

Friend of mine has tagged about a dozen in the last 20 years.
