Hello. I'm tired of having the back seat and floor of my 2019 TRD Sport full of stuff so I'm thinking about building or buying a storage cabinet of some sort to replace the passenger side rear seat. Has anyone done anything like this and if so can you post pics? I've look at websites that build cabinetry for emergency command vehicles but 99% of stuff is for the rear of SUVs. Thanks.

    Welcome from NY.

    They do make underseat storage.
Do a search for underseat storage for a crewmax. Many members have done different types.

I'm thinking something more along these lines but not the whole was across rather than under the seat. Doesn't have to be all drawers, this is just something I found quick.

I believe I saw a post about modding a DC into a camper and the guy changed out that rear passenger for a fridge and storage.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I haven't seen anything on this forum about what you're trying to do. But please post updates as you figure it out. Others here would be interested in learning about what you find or come up with.

Does anyone know why the underneath storage compartments say for double cabs only? I like the lockable ones but have a CM cab.

You want to look into the ESP ones, though they require modification of the truck. The CM seats mount different than the DC and there’s a “hump” in the floor under the seats so the DC storage won’t work.

Search around - there’s several people that have done things similar, many of them doing it for a camper fridge or similar. It all starts with a basic platform attached to the seat rail mounting points, then build of that.

This is just a rough start, but I built a base today that is already an improvement on having everything on the floor. Planning on building up from here and making an actual cabinet with 12v power. Also including a pic of the front of my truck.
