These are my spurs, made for me by a blacksmith friend. The large main part is forged from a single piece of steel, hot split and drawn. There’s no welding done on them

 

I have zero use for spurs but for some reason I now require a set.

 

They just hang on a hook by the fireplace now, lol

My wife dressed as a cowgirl at her school yesterday.
No one complimented her outfit, they just all said, “oooohhhhh guuurrrrlll, yo man gone get some tonight”.

 

I've been drifting in and out of this thread - been exhausted from trying to get shit done outside and just can't get enough energy to try to catch up with whatever you all are talking about.

My wife's first husband collected swords and knives. I'll take a picture of a few later and post them up for you. Don't know how old they are but they are kind of cool.

Yeah, that was me. It was more that Mrs. Bandito thought I'd like cowboy boots and wanted to transform me into a Texan. I put the "fetish" part in there to spice up the post a bit.

I actually hated the boots. Years later, we were in Wimberley, I cool little town in the Hill Country. There was a used boot store there run by a German lady who was called the "Boot Whisperer." You'd take off your shoes, she'd take a look at your feet and then go pick you out a pair of used boots that would fit perfectly. Those boots were awesome and that's when I understood why cowboy boots are so popular.

Here are two of the daggers. There's a lot more tucked away and a really cool short curvy sword with a mother of pearl inlay (I think that's what it is) on the hilt. I'll dig that one up someday.
