Maybe this has been solved and I haven't seen it but, I seem to recall people playing with it but never really coming up with a solid solution. I'm going to link to another thread that has some dudes that look to be on the right track.

Here's my post. It's doesn't look like anyone with a 1st Gen has tried their hand at it. I'm posting it here because I'm not the guy I'd want playing with the electrical system to the extent they are. Anyone else want to give it a try and see if you can really solve the problem in our 1st Gen's?

If someone has already created a nanny override for our 1st Gen's, please post the link to DIY so I can get splicing wires. Thanks.

Were you “lucky” enough to get a traction control button? I’ve only herd of a few people with actual electronic traction control, on the later year tundra

Yah, I've got the Auto LSD and traction control buttons. I can't say I've ever been in a situation where I've been glad I've had it. I've never found it to be anything but detrimental.
