kind of the same boat , my f150 from may is finally going into production in 2 weeks and the wife wants it since it has the stuff like memory seats, lane keep and 360 camera.

I don’t really care for it. I don’t want cylinder deactivation, i don’t want potential oil consumption issues, I don’t want a late ass 21 model, and I don’t want to regret getting rid of my lunar rock.

So guys I went to my local dealer and was told by the manager that pricing for the TRD Pro will likely be around $62-65k MSRP. How accurate could this possibly be?

Did you ask if that was after "market adjustment"?

Yes that would be after market adjustment. I think that's way to damn much for a TRD Pro IMO

That could very well be accurate, especially after dealer markup, TRD Pro's (at least Tacomas) got markups before Covid, much less now.

I just made a bet with a buddy. He says the the Platinum and 1794 will be listed on Toyota’s website as “starting” at 70,000 or more. I say it will be lower.
Am I gonna win this bet?

Considering current 2021 Platinum and 1794 I doubt that. TRD Pro is suppose to be the most expensive model for 2022 and I'd guess it would be around upper $50kish. That hybrid motor is what will change the price drastically. I'd say maybe a $5k-6k difference for the Hybrid Motor

Yeah, I lucked out by using the USAA buying service that pulled the vin from their system and bypassed the BS on the dealer lot. Locked in the price and evaded the Markup. Salesperson was very cool, and got me the contract which I signed and wired the $$ before the sales manager caught wind. He wasn't super happy, but I was.

Most likely. When they announce the Capstone it may start somewhere near 70.

I do wish you luck. Kind of tough to turn down that deal. That said, I get X-Plan pricing and I still won't buy a Ford. LOL

Well, I was messing around and built a Ford F150 Lariat comparable to a Limited or Platinum and it came out to $68k MSRP. One could argue that the Platinum has as much or more features.

If I walked into a dealer tomorrow I would fully expect to pay $66k to $72k for a Platinum depending on what options so added, hybrid, etc.....

I will eat major Crowe but I have been saying for 12+ months these upper trim will be in the $70k range.

Let's say we were bookies and in Vegas. I feel very confident Vegas would set the over/under at $68,500 for a nicely optioned 1794/Platinum.
If you are talking hybrid, HUD Display, air ride suspension I will hands down take the over.

The deal was made last August and I took delivery Dec 18. I built the truck online and gave the printout to them and told them I would pay msrp for it.

IMO the platinum/1794 will be priced around the denali price (2022 round 62k)

Limited will be around the SLT trim around 50k

SR5 will be around the cost of the elevation around the 48k price

SR will be around the cost of the SLE/pro around 40- 45k price

The TRD pro will come in around the AT4 so I'd say 60-65k

Roughly 3-5k more for the hybrid models.

I hate that the pro comes in hybrid with pano sunroof only. It would probably be 5 to 7k less without those things. The non hybrid would have plenty power for me, and the sun roof is something I’ll never use. It is what it is.

can almost guarantee that’s not going to be the case, that’s not how Toyota operates. The big 3 price high and incentivize down (normal market conditions). Toyota prices conservatively but right on the sweet spot. It’s going to be $2-5k more per model max guaranteed (not including dealer mark ups)

I bought my fully loaded (only missing option was carbon pro) AT4 on May 1 of this year (made the deal last couple days of April). Sticker was $68K, price I paid was less than $58K (don't remember the exact number). If TRD Pro is over $60K Toyota is over pricing it.

Understood, I’ve had good luck with my Fords. I’ve also had good luck with all the Toyota’s as well. Issues with both but nothing major.

GM prices are not comparable. Pre pandemic, big three truck MSRPs had five figures of discount built in. Toyota discounts have never been so steep and the MSRPs have always been more reasonable to start.

edit - I see a couple others already beat me to it so :deadhorse:
