That's not a replacement is it? Hopefully just a new toy or something bought for the wife ...

New toy for the wife. SR5 Premium and it was either this or white.

Now I'm shopping for wheels... ugh.

Sr5 premium is a great trim option. Checked all the boxes on my wife's wish list when we got her 4Runner. Stock Dunlop tires aren't aggressive enough for me, but she's ok with them and they are wearing well/durable. Stock steelies aren't my favorite but she's definitely not a "rims" person either so anything aftermarket she would dislike. The 20's on the limiteds were an immediate no go for her (which was fine by me).

We're planning on blacking out the badges and actually are strongly considering some anthracite painted wheels.

I too feel the stock tires are a bit understated. We might go with some Cooper ATP or similar. Ultimately this is the missus' car and her final decision in regards to updates and mids and what have you.

I'm pretty sure we won't be lifting it - this is a people hauler and I actually really like the way it sits now.

We got a good deal on our trade and I paid cash for the rest. Bountiful Toyota is about 3000 times better a dealership than Karl Malone Toyota. ;)

Karl Malone is one of my all time favorite players and people, but the dealership that bares his name has horrible customer service and employs some very aggressive sales tactics. I bought my Tundra there and had the same experience with that exchange.

We ended up at Bountiful Toyota, which is part of the Performance Automotive Group, and while it was clear they were trying to sell us a car they were far more respectful and we didn't feel talked down to like we did at Karl Malone.

We looked at one with 3rd row - it's pretty unusable unless you're a family of dwarfs.

I seriously mean no offense at all if you truly are a family of dwarfs. It must be nice having literally every shower in the world hit your head and face instead of your chest.

You sir, are a bad influence. Can you tell me the price on a TRD Pro grille?

She can't get mad at me if I'm throwing the money at her, right?

My wife has a 2016 SR5 4Runner. We also thought about the 3rd row but like was said above - completely useless. Only mistake we made was not getting the Premium package. Seats are much nicer plus it comes with the sun roof (right?).

It hauls our two young kids OK but we take the Crew Max for anything over an hour drive as it's got a ton more room. After a little over a year and me getting the Tundra now she wants a Sequoia. I haven't done much shopping but it looks like those are crazy $$ and not very easy to come by...

Congrats on the 4Runner! I was so close to team Tundra/4Runner. I asked the wife while we were at Toyota if she wanted mine and we could trade in her car. She said no. So i traded it in. 3months later she wants a new car so we get her one. About a year later and a new job with a 65 mile a day commute we traded that in and she wanted a 4runner this time...settled on a Camry.

Mine had third row. I thought it would come in handy for trips to the beach. only used it once for my daughter and nephew so the younger boys could have both bigger car seats.
    Pics just because...why not.

I think it depends on where you are. We got ours $1000 below invoice and had to fight for that. I think it's possible to find an SR5 Premium for $34,500. Sometimes it's easier to get more for your trade than to drop $ off the new vehicle price. It helps when you're paying cash.
