I have not been able to find a OEM right side catalytic converter for my 2015. Somebody (most likely a crack head) stole it. Local dealer is guessing 2-3 months. I have a car to use so I am not screwed. I am in Hawaii so my only option is order online. No road trips for me.
Does anyone have a lead or suggestion on where to look?
Sparks Toyota is cheaper by far than my local dealer even with shipping. If I have to wait for months at least I can save a couple bucks.

You check any junk yards? Even used ones would be cheap and hold you over to you get a new one

Sorry to hear about the theft, total bummer

    Too many, but not enough....
weld in a straight pipe and wait to do it before your smog test, market will likely cool by then......

I have not looked at junk yards yet. We have a shallow pool to pick from.

It is. Everything. They are even willing to pay for OEM. Just can't get parts.

On order. Ordered after the theft. Would have prevented this whole issue.

I just learned how to Multi-quote.

    It is a thought.

    Thinking about it.
    Not sure what is worse.
    A. straight pipe with no cats and no O2 sensor.
    B. straight pipe with no cats and an O2 sensor sending bad information.
We don't have any smog testing here. That is one issue I don't have.

It is becoming a possibility. My cheapskate side of me has trouble spending money on aftermarket only to toss it to buy OEM later.

If I was a little more flexible this issue would not be a big problem. BUT!!!!! I really like my truck. AND!!! am really picky. Rough combination.

I'd buy the Magnaflow and call it good. They make good stuff. I wouldn't even consider OEM unless I was getting a CEL.

So far I am leaning towards the magaflow cats. Even though I only need the right side. Probably do both.
Thanks. I'll update when I get some parts.

If it’s any little advantage here, at least you’re in some of the most beautiful weather in the world, it is real “Sheisty” here in the Chicago area today, rainy and cold

There are a couple threads on this subject, so I am going to post this a more than once.
I had my passenger side cats stolen. I have insurance so the cost was not the issue. Getting cats was.
Since I was unable to get OEM, I bought MagnaFlow. There is a HM (heavy metal) version. I did NOT get that one. Bought the Magnaflow #49630
I used the old O2 sensor next to the exhaust manifold (I think it is also called upstream). Bought the lower O2 sensor (down stream? The one in between the cats.) new from the dealer. I was trying to eliminate the chance of O2 check engine light.
I have run the truck for over 100 miles on about 5 trips. The first trip I ran it for over 1 hour. No check engine light and no errors on my OBD2 reader.
So far so good. Fingers crossed.
