Well your list didn’t match a 1/2 ton market segment either. Like you said…a “do all” truck. This has maximum towing, rear locker, front LS, good off-road, fuel economy is pretty decent and fuel is way cheaper than mid-premium, Lariat interior is one of the best I have ever been in since 2021….

Any reason to think the quality of the F-350 is any better than the F-150?

My holdups with the superduty: Crew cab won't fit in standard garage, horrible turning radius and Ford's history of electrical gremlins...

Really? Half ton trucks don't tow or haul? Tundra isn't a 3/4 or one ton truck, so comparing them to that market segment is irrelevant. Every quality that I listed is something someone is looking for in a 1/2 ton. No truck in the 1/2 ton market, or any other market, is going to be the best at all of those things. Even that Tremor, while a nice all-around truck, but I doubt it's actually the best at anything. There are certainly trucks available that can tow more. There are several trucks that would be better off road. Pretty decent fuel economy isn't best in class fuel economy. And I don't doubt it has a nice interior, but I doubt it compares to a Ram Limited. Point being, a truck can be a damn nice truck without being best at anything, much less everything.

    Different question:
If the 2022 TRD Pro and F-350 Tremor both had/did everything you need in a truck and cost the same, would you buy the F-350?

Don't think "heavy duty" necessarily = better quality". But the Super duty is a very nice truck

Garage is a big one for myself. Don’t blame you.

Turning radius…it does suck on bigger trucks. However, my GMC does do u-turns rather well. I was towing my 24’ gooseneck trailer yesterday in some tight spots and my brother was surprised at how I could maneuver. Not sure why, he has a 2001 GMC 2500 with the 8.1L. Same damn truck. He just can’t drive.

I can’t comment on the electrical. Never owned one.

    I would agree with that.

I guess a better way to say it would be less issues over time mechanically.

For me, a half ton doesn’t tow worth a darn. It might work for you in your geographical location and needs. See, two different opinions that are both correct.

A Ram limited would be compared to a Platinum Ford, not a Lariat.

I agree that not one truck is best at everything. That part you missed was “close” or shall I say the closest?

So let’s take the Pepsi challenge regardless of make or model:

    Off-roading-

Power wagon, Tremor, TRD Pro. Only reason I will even put the power wagon before the Tremor is that the dodge has a front locker.

    Hauling-

Tremor. Power wagon and Pro both don’t have payload. Tremor also comes in either 3/4 or 1 ton, diesel or gas.

    Fuel economy-

2022 Pro most likely with the hybrid
Tremor with diesel will be a close second.
    Ram power wagon

    Towing-

Tremor…for the same thing listed in hauling.
    Power wagon/Pro probably similar.

What 22 trims are you all ordering? I am a little worried the Sport trim will be a bit bare bones (no heated seats, 8” screen). Does anyone know if the Limited has leather seats? In most videos they appear to be softex. Considering switching my order from Sport to Limited but I really don’t like the look of the chrome and the black sport with the trd black wheels looks sexy af.

That's kinda what I'm saying. No one can really say the Tundra isn't the 'best' truck on the market, because it may very well be for some people. You or I could look at trucks and decide which one is best for our needs, but neither of us could say definitively that one truck is 'best' when none of them are best at everything.

As far as that podcast, if the worst they could come up with was "it's not the best at everything", I think it'll be fine.

Exactly. You don’t see my ass going out to purchase a new F350 tremor. It doesn’t fit my needs over what I have now.

I think the new Tundra hybrid TRD off-road will be where the money is for most people on here.

The Limited with TRD Offroad is one of my options. I don't like the chrome either, but at least it's a satin chrome finish and not a shiny chrome. If I get it I'll get magnetic grey metallic so the chrome will look like an accent piece.

It's not the best truck if you intend to do truck things. It's adequate if you infrequently do truck things. It's a good truck for what it seems to have been intended to do, capture Tacoma owners looking for something larger.

Considering SR5 with leather (softex). I don't mind the 8" screen given its the same software and capabilities as the 14". Limited is only offered with softex as far as I'm aware, had it in my 17 limited Tacoma and loved it.

I have not seen anything about the 8" having the option for the 360 camera stuff. Do you happen to know if that is an option with the 8"? The main reason I would want the 14" is to get the 360 camera but if it is an option on the 8" I think it will be fine.

Who said anything about me being on the clock when I look at the forum?? Is it too hard for YOU to understand that some people get to work early before their scheduled time because they want to make sure to be at work before they are supposed to?? Maybe some people stay later than they are scheduled to because they are waiting for traffic to die down or a storm to pass?? Is it too hard for YOU to realize that there are such things as breaks and lunch hour?? Just because someone is at work, doesn't mean that they are charging the company at that moment.

Good question! When I said same capabilities I was more referring to navigation and wireless carplay.

It appears the 360 requires the 14" screen, but I haven't heard that's confirmed confirmed:

If I wasn't hauling a trailer the Tacoma AC would probably be my perfect truck. It all depends on how you use it. That F350 Tremor would be pretty much useless for my off road use. Hell, the Tundra is already too damn big.
